Belgium

Travelogue

Hobbes was in Ypres for a band weekend this year. We spent a lot of the time practisimg but got to see a bit of Belgium

The highlight of Ypres is the huge Memorial gate which contains the names of 45,000 people killed nearby during WW1.
Every evening their is a ceremony where names are read out and the last post is played.
The town (and country) is also famed for chocolate. Hobbes was more impressed with the Flanders stew though.
