| All right, all unmarried ladies! Get out here and catch this bouquet!
Lee Jordan was doing a fabulous job of commentating for the reception. Stephanie and Seamus were having the time of their lives. Dean Thomas, Seamus Best Man had given a very heartwarming speech that brought tears to everyones eyes. Theyd eaten and cut the cake (with very messy but humorous results) and had gotten the music going. Now Stephanie was anxious to throw the bouquet and continue the normal Muggle tradition of wedding ceremonies. Michelle was sitting with Fred and they were talking about something very secretly. Hermione and Ginny ran past her quickly, hoping to get to the dance floor before anyone else could. The floor was completely covered and Lee was about to count down so Stephanie could throw when Ron pushed his way through the hoard of women and made his voice magically louder. I have a little bit of a problem with this tradition, he declared. He walked forward and grabbed Hermiones hand, pulling her toward him. I dont like the fact that my girlfriend is trying to catch a bouquet because shes not married. Hermione looked up at Ron indignantly. What are you doing? she hissed angrily. He took her hand and stepped away to look at her full on. I have a way to fix that, he said, fumbling in his pocket and pulling out a black velvet box. Hermiones hand hit her chest and her mouth dropped open. Ron opened the box to reveal a very elegant diamond. Hermione Granger, will you be my wife? Everyone in the reception hall gasped as they awaited her answer. She couldnt speak. Tears were running down her cheeks and she nodded. The entire audience of people started clapping as Hermione put her hands on Rons face and kissed him lovingly. Ron turned back to Lee. All right, you can continue. May continue, Hermione interjected. Ron looked down at her and glared playfully. Come on, Miss Granger, he said, lifting her up and carrying her off of the floor, much to her objection. Finally, Stephanie was ready to throw the bouquet, and much to everyones surprise, the small and nimble Ginny jumped up and yanked it out of the air before anyone else could even get close. Ginny smiled sheepishly as she met Harry off of the floor. He smirked and threw his arms into an embrace around her. Guess were getting married next, eh? Only if you want to, she whispered, kissing him. Lee took over once more to let everyone know that the bride and groom were to have their last dance of the night to their song. Everyone was upset that the party was ending, but some were half asleep. Michelle was leaning on Freds shoulder, her eyes half closed. Stephanie couldnt help noticing how alive she and Fred had suddenly become. She wasnt sure what it was, the excitement of the night or what. Fred came close to tears many times as he stared at Michelle, and Michelle was so happy she was radiant. Seamus and Stephanie stepped out onto the dance floor and their song, A Moment Like This came on. Stephanie rested her head on Seamus shoulder tiredly. She sighed happily. Is there anyone else here? Seamus laughed. I was just about to ask you that. They danced for a few more seconds before Stephanie lifted her head up and smiled at her husband. I love you. And I love you, he said, kissing her on the lips. You were so hard to get at Hogwarts. Do you remember all that? Stephanie rolled her eyes. More than Id like to. You and Michelle were both in love with Oliver, Ill never forget it. I dont think Fred ever will either, she said, laughing. Isnt he here? Seamus asked, frowning. Fred? Well, duh, she said. No, Oliver. Stephanie looked up at Seamus inquisitively. Oliver? Here? Of course not! Then who is that? Seamus asked, gesturing with his head. Stephanie looked up and saw none other than Oliver Wood sitting at a table with Lavender Brown. They were holding hands and he was looking somewhat forlorn as he stared at them dancing. Stephanie turned back to Seamus and smiled at him. I cant believe hes here, with Lavender no less. I wonder if Michelles seen him. I cant imagine what Fred would think. Seamus kissed his wife and pressed his forehead to hers. Its in the past, now. Let it go. You are Mrs. Finnigan now. I have you all to myself. Yes. And I love it. |
