Once she got home, she was excited for prom that was two months away. Talking to Chase about it had gotten her all geeked up and she wanted to start planning for it right away.

She got to the phone as soon as she walked in the door. She dialed the first number that came off the top of her head.

Hi is Bailey there?

This is Bailey, she answered.

Hey! Its Reg.

Hey there, whats up?

Not a lot. Look, are you busy tomorrow?

No, not really. Why?

Would you like to go prom shopping?

Bailey squealed. Finally! Someone who wants to go! I keep trying to talk Chloe into going with me but shes always got some band thing going on.

Well then Im taking you. How much money you got?

Not much.

Well thats perfect. Well go try on some dresses and see what we like. Sound good?

Yeah! Bailey exclaimed and her tone changed. What brought this all on? she asked suspiciously.

Oh you can guess Regan said.

Chase asked you? she said it more like a statement then a question.

Yes! Regan shrieked.

Finally! Bailey said exasperatedly.

Regan raised her eyebrows. What do you mean finally?

Duh, Bailey said, as if it were the easiest question in the world. Hes
wanted to ask you!

Thats
so cool! Regan said, in a complete spirit of bliss. Never mind all the confusing thoughts and the loneliness. She didnt mind at all that she was thinking about Chase waiting for the day to ask her to prom.

We should all go together, Regan suggested.

Yeah! That would be awesome! Trevor was telling me he wanted to get a limo this year, Bailey said excitedly.

Well, then we should do it. You, Trevor, Chase, me, Chloe and her date, and Maria and her date. Itll be fun! Regan said.

Oh man! This
is going to be fun! Bailey said.

They started making arrangements, writing down names and numbers, looking through the phonebook, and setting up a time for everyone to get together and talk about it. Neither Maria nor Chloe had a date yet, but they were sure they would have one by March, when they intended to start booking limos and making reservations.

Bailey and Regan were the best at making plans and they were the two that had the most fun doing it. Once they talked about everything and decided to meet to go prom shopping, Regan hung up. She felt a new kind of peace sweep over her that hadnt been there before. She had the urge to just sleep.
