| I love to hear you say that you love me
With words so sweet And I love the way with just one whisper You tell me everything And when you say those words Its the sweetest thing Ive ever heard Ginny was standing at the end of a carpet, crying her big brown eyes out. She was recalling all of the things that had happened in the past two years. Harry had left her to fight Voldemort with a grim farewell, indicating that he might not come back. Once he had gone, Ginny found herself doing the exact thing he had begged her not to do. Shed spent almost two months in her dorm, crying. Hed left that October. He was out of school, but she still had to stay for another year. It wasnt fair. She was stuck at that school for another nine months while her friends had to face the horrors of the real world. But now she was out of school, a nineteen-year-old girl with many prospects. Her were far too overwhelming to allow her to do more than cry. But when your eyes say it Thats when I know that its true I feel it I feel the love coming through I know it I know that you truly care for me Because its there to see When your eyes say it Hermione had figured out the mystery two months before the end of the year. Ginny and Harry had gone to such lengths to keep their love a secret that they hadnt realized they were somehow being more obvious. Hermione confronted Ginny one night while both Ron and Harry were at Quidditch practice. She told Ginny that shed noticed how throughout the year they made eyes at each other as if they were completely in love. She recognized it from the way Ron looked once upon a time. Ginny broke down and told her everything. She showed her the ring shed been wearing and how she had come to acquire it. She told Hermione about their late night meeting a couple months beforehand and what Harry had told her about leaving. Hermione, Ginny decided, was too smart for her own good. Not only did she keep it a secret, but she also warded off the suspicious on lookers when Harry left with the Order. She was great at telling lies. All of it had come from the top of her head. Ron hadnt even figured it out until the mid summer. Now, Ron and Hermione were married and talking about having children. And Ginny was here. I love all the ways that you show me Youll never leave And the way your kisses, they always convince me Your feelings run so deep I love the things you say And I love the love your touch conveys Ginny spent two months locked in her dorm, wallowing in misery. Harry didnt write often, but when he did, she didnt have the heart to respond. Hed written three or four times, each time inquiring what her response was and when it was coming. Finally, Hermione had written to Harry and told him that Ginny had become a complete basket case. His next letter to her was actually a Howler. After that, she knew she couldnt sulk anymore. She spent the next year normally. It was only at night that she had time to think about what he was really doing. He wrote enough however so it put her mind to rest. It was after a year had passed and he was still gone that she really started to worry. But when your eyes say it Thats when I know that its true I feel it I feel the love coming through I know it I know that you truly care for me Because its there to see Dearest Ginny, I wish I could be there for your graduation. I can just see you in your garments. You probably look incredibly beautiful. Your red hair cascading down your shoulders as a bright, proud smile captures your face. I cant even tell you how upset I am that I have to miss it. But I have good news. This silly war (as you call it) is almost over. Weve just devised the perfect plan to infiltrate the Death Eaters lair. I cant share much else, but I want to tell you that we think were going to end the war in a matter of hours. Then I can be home and sweep you into my arms so we can marry. I love you, Virginia Lynne Weasley. You never forget that. Love, Harry James Potter. It was the last letter Ginny ever received from Harry. It was common knowledge that the Boy-Who-Lived was dead. When your eyes tell me I know theyre not telling lies They tell me All that youre feeling inside And it sounds so right When your eyes say it Ginny had spent months crying over it when shed heard, but she knew it was not going to change no matter how many tears she shed. She picked up the pieces of her life and went on. She continued her career after Hogwarts, and ultimately decided that her love with Harry was wonderful while it lasted. Then out came the news. Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, had not died after all. She was overcome with joy when she found out, and Apparated to him immediately, throwing herself in his bruised and tortured arms. Harry was home, and that was all that mattered. He was alive, he was back with her, and they could finally stop living a life of secrecy. Voldemort was gone and there was absolutely no way theyd be threatened. And the words they say Take my breath away No song ever sounded so sweet I love every word That they say to me And there she was, standing at the end of the aisle, waiting for her fathers arm. She was going to wed Harry, and become Mrs. Potter. She looked up at Harry. He was no longer the lost boy she had fallen in love with. He had grown into the man she now adored more than anything. It had taken them a few months to settle in and then get married. She couldnt be happier. Arthur Weasley walked up to her, pecking his daughter on the cheek. Are you ready, sweetheart? Ginny sighed and looked back up at Harry. Ive been ready. But when your eyes say it Thats when I know that its true I feel it I feel the love coming through I know it I know that you truly care for me Because its there to see With every step she took, Ginny knew her life was going to change. She was going to be with Harry for the rest of her life and nothing was going to prevent their happiness. Ron and Hermione flashed her looks of encouragement, but Ginny found once she set her eyes on Harrys, that was the end of it. Nothing could save her from the feelings and emotions he was showing her. She fell deeper as his eyes told her everything. She knew those eyes never lied. They certainly werent lying now. When your eyes tell me I know theyre not telling lies They tell me All that youre feeling inside And it sounds so right When your eyes say it Harry linked his arm in Ginnys, his eyes never leaving hers. They smiled peacefully at each other. This was it. There was no more hiding. There was no more secrecy. Everything was perfect. |
