Story Outline:
Note: This outline is in chronological order, which is not necessarily in the same order of how it appears in the ablum.
Nicholas is a married man with a son ("Through Her Eyes") who has these subconscious images of a house and of a woman from years past ("Strange Deja Vu"). Not understanding these images, or why they are being shown to him ("SDV"), he leaves home and finds the house that is in his dreams ("Fatal Tragedy"). While there, Nicholas meets an old man who tells him of the murder of a young girl named Victoria ("FT"). Still not understanding what his dreams mean, Nicholas visits a Hypnotherapist ("Regression"). While hypnotized, Nicholas can hear Victoria speaking to him ("SDV"). He finds out that Vicroria was killed in an murder-suicide ("Beyond this Life"), which has never really been solved ("FT"). He later finds out that Victoria was involved with two different men, brothers ("Home"). Victoria was in love with Julian Baynes (aka The Sleeper), but left him because of a drug addiction ("Home"). For comfort, she went to his brother, Senator Edward Baynes (aka The Miracle), who falls in love with her ("Home"). And they have sex ("Home"). Victoria later realizes that she must leave the Miracle and go back to Julian, because she is really in love with him ("Finally Free"). The Miracle becomes enraged and kills them both, framing Julian for the murder-suicide ("FF"). Nicholas, who has discovered what really happened to Victoria, set her soul free and all is happy and good ("FF").
Now, for the interpertation part. One idea is that at the end, the Hypnotherapist kills Nicholas. I had the impression for this to be true, then a few things would also have to be true that are kind of doubtful, yet still possible. One, the Hypnotherapist would have to be somehow related to, if not, Senator Edward Baynes (aka the Miracle). Two, Nicholas would have had to meet the Hypnotherapist in the house that was in his dreams, which is where the murders took place. Now supposedly, the murders took place on January 27, 1928. So, it would be possible that the Hypnotherapist and the Miracle be the same person, if the "present" was about 50 years ago. If the Miracle really was a Senator, then he would have had to be at least 30 in 1928, making him a birthdate slightly before the turn of the century. If the "present" took place during the 1950's, then it is possible that the Hypnotherapist is the Miracle. He would then follow Nicholas home and kill him, saying "Open your eyes, Nicholas," similar to "Open your eyes, Victoria," as was said before she was shot. But in "Fatal Tragedy," it says that "he turned away and left me," so that make me think that maybe they are not the same person. The setting of the '50's, however, would explain the record playing at the end. If that is all true, then cool! I also like the "Open your eyes," because it works on so many levels.
