| St. Matthew Catholic School is the first school opened by the diocese in 25 years. The school was officially opened in August 2006. St. Matthew Catholic School offers classes for pre-kindergarten through third grade. An additional grade will be added each year until 2009-�10 when sixth, seventh and eighth will be added at once. Small classes and degreed teachers provide young Christian souls the atmosphere to develop into fully productive, independent, Spirit-filled and discerning thinkers learning to lead the community in social justice and development.
St. Matthew Catholic School is committed to the academic growth, spiritual formation, emotional well-being, social awareness and physical development of each student. Here, we provide a safe, caring environment in a Catholic community where learning can be optimized. Working with the parents who are the primary educators, the educational program is enhanced by integrating religious instruction in Catholic doctrine, faith and values into academic principles. Our faculty believes in developing the full potential of each child. We recognize each student�s unique individuality and strive to manifest a positive self-image as a child of God. We stress the importance of forming a strong character in preparation for the more difficult years ahead. As educators we encourage our students to put faith into action in accordance with the will of God. We prepare responsible Christian citizens for the challenges of leadership through reverence for God, respect for humanity and service to the global community. |
