DESCRIPTION:
John Myers is a dark, enigmatic person both in looks and in personality. Physically, he is extremely fit and strong, mostly from his military and martial arts training. Physical exercise is something he considers therapy, and something he enjoys doing in his spare time.
Myers enjoys solitude, being so used to it and finding most conversations boring and useless. He associates only with those he respects professionally, but never getting too close or fully trusting anyone. As a general rule, he does not mess with anyone unless provoked or unless his current job calls for it, and does not enjoy killing just for rep or because of stupid arguments. Then again, once he has been ticked off, not even a full armored punk will make him back off.
Myers likes to wear a black trenchcoat, black, gray, or white shirt, black leather pants or jeans, and black boots. (Like Neo when he goes to rescue Morpheus). He may alternate the trenchcoat with a 3/4 leather jacket. Fashionable sunglasses (Like Neo, Blade, MIB) are always a must. During his careeer he has been bodyguard to several Corps so he has used his share of business and leisure suits and is quite comfortable in them.
In combat, Myers likes to use his twin Colts at the same time (like in The Replacement Killers and in Face Off). (Smartlink + Targeting Scope make up for the -3 penalty). Also, he will call shots to disarm/kill if possible (using only one gun to get full benefits). He does not normally carry the Uzi, as he finds it cumbersome for everyday wear. He will use it for special assignments where extra firepower is needed. He also enjoys hand-to-hand combat, specially with other well-trained opponents. Myers is expertly trained in stealth and will use it to his advantage whenever possible, and occasionally will also use it to startle other team members. To be ambushed but not attacked by Myers, the person has to be the closest thing to a "friend" that he has.
BACKGROUND:
Myers was born in Neo York, in year 2000. His father was in the Armed Forces and forced John to be recruited as a youth in 2015. His concern that the young Myers was being corrupted by a local gang and his being arrested several times for larceny, robbery and assault made him believe John was eligible for a special Army Black Ops Division which recruited and "molded" young candidates. By the time he was 20, Myers was skilled in the arts of infiltration, assasination and demolition and served in several classified missions which, of course, the govenrment never acknowledged that occurred. Myers' 5 person team was named "The Shadow Vipers" and it comprised of 3 males and 2 females, each specialized in a particular infiltration/demolition/assasination technique. All were deadly in their own merits, but together they were uncanny. Myers was never considered for the leadership of the team due to his unpredictable style and his few frictions with his superiors. Ultimately the team was broken up and each one was given assignments in different geographical areas. There were concerns about the sanity of the team members and the possibility of them turning their skills against their employer. Termination was considered but quickly discarded, at least in the short term because it was improbable that all could be eliminated at the same time and there was fear of retaliation.
After being discharged upon request in 2027, Myers moved back to Neo York City and worked for several corporations as bodyguard/security advisor and information officer (which means he infiltrated other companies to get products and technology secrets, plus the occasional "accidental" fire or explosion in some competitor's facilities. He has acquired a reputation for being loyal to his employers as long as they remain loyal to him. He is also very high in the "not-to-be-fucked-with" list.
