Manicure
Tools needed:
Nail clipper
Cuticle Nipper
Nail file
Base coat
Nail polish color
Cotton
Nail polish remover
Buffer
Orange Stick
Step 1 Remove polish
If you have nail polish on your nails remove with nail polish remover.
Step 2 File & Shape
When cutting nails cut straight across, rounding them slightly at the sides.
If you just round the sides and file the top in one direction you will risk
the chance of splitting your nails.
Step 3 Buff
To eliminate ridges use a meduim-grade buffer over the nail bed, gently working
back and forth. Buffing promotes circulation of blood under the nail, but too
much will dry out the nail and create brittleness.
Step 4 Soak
Use a gentle liquid soap to soak nails. This will clean the nail and soften
the cuticles.
Step 5 Cream Cuticles
Massage olive oil or jojoba oil into cuticles and let it sit for two minutes.
Step 6 Push Cuticles
Wrap a tiny piece of cotton around the tip of the orange stick. Use the stick
to much back the cuticle. Use the nippers to clip off any hangnails. DO NOT
cut the actual cuticle - it can cause infection.
Step 7 Apply Base Coat
Use a cotton ball soaked in remover to get rid of any oil residue, then apply
a base coat to protect the nail.
Step 8 Apply polish
Apply polish to nails. When polish has dried, apply a topcoat for shine and
protection.
