Damon Albarn
Damon Albarn is the singer and songwriter in BLUR. He plays the piano or
Hammond in some of the songs. Damon started song writing when he stopped
composing the piano and started to write songs with the guitar. Albarn is
from Colchester in Essex, England. His parents were also musicians. Was
born in London, but the family moved to Colchester when he was ten. The
song "Essex dogs" is about Colchester. |

Graham Coxon
Graham Coxon is the guitar player. He also has backing vocals. Graham is
an old friend of Damon. Coxon is also from Colchester, but he was born in
Germany. |

Alex James
Alex James is the plays the bass. He has written one blur-song, "Far
Out" which you can find on the album Parklife. Alex is the only
member of BLUR who is not from Colchester. James is from Bournemouth. |

Dave Rowntree
Dave Rowntree plays drums. He is the most calm member of BLUR. Dave comes
from Colchester, Essex. |
