Sacred knowledge from above that reveals the foundation
of our existence, and explains the spiritual aspect of life,
and how we, as human beings, can deal with it
Instilled within every human being is a natural hunger that longs
to be satisfied. God put that empty spot within us for a reason:
it is what causes us to want to seek and find God, and to
get to know Him
Some call it instinct: something within us that seems to say ~
I know there is a God; and I know He is within reach: not beyond. But how do I make contact with Him? I long to communicate with Him, and to know Him as a Friend Who I can speak with face to face. I long to feel the comfort of His presence
Consider this one scripture that seems to stand out in The
Song of Solomon ~
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the
companions hearken to thy voice: cause
me to hear it.
(Song of Solomon 8:13)
Now consider these scriptures from the New Testament ~
John 6:
62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67Then said Jesus unto the twelve,Will ye also go away?
68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
Does that hunger stir within you? The Word of God does that to us! for a reason!
Do you love God? ..find that desire within you to express that love to the world?
..it is fine that we begin our relationship with God in solitude: God desires that it be this way.. just you and Him.. no distractions...
For that relationship to remain true, however, God further desires that we face the decision to bring that relationship out into the open: to be expressed to other people in our lives; and that we eventually bring ourselves to be comfortable in acknowledging Him in all our affairs.
..now is our time to make our stand with God.. to become soldiers for Him in the age-old war that has been raging since the fall of man.. what war?... between God and Satan?... subtle?... invisible to our eyes?... beyond our range of hearing?... celtic?... mystic?... occult?... supernatural?...
Ok! we get the picture! that war is spiritual; and subtle to our perception: ..yet we know the war is happening because we believe the Word of God; and we see the effects in the circumstances of our lives.
Those of us who do not understand find ourselves asking -
why do things continually go sour for us? and,
why is there no foundation for happiness?
Some say that the war is a spiritual war between God and Satan;
has to do with angels, and has nothing to do with us.
As human beings, however, the war has
everything to do with us;
Little Investments:
Many of our experiences with God happens while we are asleep; during a time when the Holy Ghost, by opportunity, may come and take us - not by hand, but by heart - and lead us into those avenues where simply we cannot go in flesh.
So, why are we not talking with one another about these experiences? Surely this is one of God's hopes in rendering these moments; so that we may have something to speak of amongst our friends: and by composing all our experiences together, we may all develop a unified awareness and spiritual understanding of God and His ways.
But we all know why we do not speak of our experiences that we have during our sleep time, and abhor the thought of having to speak of our experiences during our wake time; lest those of our society speak ridicule and bring the spirit of shunning and contention.
Our excuse would be that it's not like we have these experiences each and every night; it's an occasional moment: though we find ourselves looking forward from one to another; O, that my moments would come closer and closer together;
Is my experience with God so important?
Each and every moment that the
Creator makes with us is
comparable to a wealthy man
making a little investment: think
of Him as the Master Investor.
Some wealthy men, with good hearts, here on earth, still enjoy keeping, like a hobby, the art of making little investments here and there; just to experience all over again the joy of watching at least one of those little investments bloom and prosper. But as time goes on, those little investments which show no signs of blooming are reconsidered by the investor: and the investor either begins investing less and less, stays investing, or else he will decide to pull out his capital altogether.
But do not head off to a conclusion that if your experiences are few and far apart, or are becoming farther apart, that He is withholding investment or pulling out capital. God, by nature prefers to stay capital rather than pull out, though investing may slow or halt; Let's remember that we all understand that sometimes God seems to be mysterious in His courses of action: let's remember also that God is able to see things that we cannot see even in a spiritual standpoint.
Let's also remember that Satan's arsenal is a vast art of deception, with great efforts aimed at cheating us out of a blessing here and there (some of our greatest frustrations come in the deception of details in day-to-day events);
- we've read in the scriptures of times when God had stayed capital, yet made no further investing, to see returns in the course of many years hence.. (read the book of Ruth to see how small investments were made toward the purchase of the Gentiles in the great plan of salvation)
We begin our relationship with God by centering our affections upon Him; and by establishing our intentions of being honest and open in our dealings with God and with people in our society.
Are you in search for a deeper meaning of life, and of the God Who made us? Or have you responded to articles of this nature before, to only realize that the person responsible for displaying the article is only trying to sell you something? And that person may, or may not, be the author of the work that is in attempt to sell?!
Speaking of my own experience, there's been times when I made purchase of articles that have turned out to be junk; although there have been those little purchases that I made for my copy of a good piece of work, and cherish by keeping the copy on my bookshelf to read again from time to time: in which case, I have appreciation for both the author as well as for the one who I paid my few dollars to, who made such copy of the work available to me.
And, of course, in consideration of making more purchases of copies of work from other authors, I will naturally look back to those sources that were true and rewarding, and there is where I will go to make my purchases.
The same can be said of our experiences with God.
When we think back on our moments with the
Holy Spirit, and realize all over again the
sweetness of those moments, we will realize
our longing to come back to Him again and
again: with hopes of eventually establishing
a closer relationship with Him.
During the war time, God is making little investments: He is making those little investments on us. The great investment is the one He made on His cross of Calvary.
But his personal dealings with each of us are His little investments. He wants to win our hearts to Him; but He wants to do it with love. He's not going to make us love Him, nor will He take our hearts by force: for He, above all, remembers that He created us with free choice of will as one of our prime attributes. And we, each of us, choose for ourselves if we want to love and obey Him.
And all His investments pay off big each time
one of us decides to give our hearts to the LORD.
That's why He said that there is joy in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner
that repenteth (Luke 15:10)
Will you be one of those who experience this big pay-off.
Matthew 3:~
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
When our conscience is purged by the power of the Holy Ghost, we may find that God has created within us a heart that is worthy to stand in His presence, our minds may be able to more fully comprehend the essence of His Word: and we are relieved from the burden of shame and guilt in the redemption of our sins.
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)
Galatians 1:~
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
Revelations 1:~
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so. Amen.
