Forbidden Fruit.

From the darkness shines a candle flame
Faintest whisper calling out my name
Stepping out wondering what awaits me
I steel my nerve and prepare for what is to be
Gentle touch, sweet taste lingers on my lips
A cold embrace, the brush of Deaths fingertips
Down I fall into the mouth of madness
Firm by my side my saviour clad in blackness
Skin so white, as white as polished marble
So cold to touch, desire that burns so carnal
Over the edge my love for you leaps gladly
The love we make burns in my chest so madly

The kiss of Death pierces down to the core
But all the pain only makes me want you more
Forbidden fruit picked from the trees of virtue
Forgotten now again I reach out for you

One final step beyond the grip of reason
Fear leaves me now like the passing of a season
My Deathless love will last me to destruction
From my path removing all obstruction
Come die with me, the death of dulling vanity
Around me I hear the cry insanity
Too late to stop, desire overtakes me
So close I come, soon I know I will be free
Death is no end, only a new adventure
Reason recedes as I slip into dementia
The kiss of Death, pleasure of necrotic flesh
I love you still, now you passed your final breath

The kiss of Death warms me to the core
Your life has gone, now I want you all the more
Forbidden fruit, I damn the trees of virtue
Cold and lifeless I still reach out for you.
