.    While at "The Ranch" we went up to Artesia and also Roswell, visiting both the Roswell Museum and Art Center as well as the infamous UFO Museum.

A fun day.
.May 27: After the Memorial Holiday weekend we traveled the last 200 miles to Albuquerque and parked in Rita's parents driveway for the night. We took the opportunity to look at several campgrounds to determine where would park for a month or two while visiting Kasen and his parents.
.   It is difficult to put two months of our stay in Albuquerque into this journal, but it was a fun visit and will cherish the memories.
.May 28 to July 28: Well, it was determined that American RV Park was the best choice.  It is in the western edge of the city and our family is at the eastern edge of the city. The frequent 25 mile trip (each way) was a bit of a nuisance, but necessary.
2008
We tossed balls around the house.  played music that always got him dancing and went for walks or bike rides with his mom.
We shall miss him, just as we miss great granddaughter Adrianna at the other end of the country in Connecticut.
Kasen has two very intelligent and caring parents and we will watch him through their eyes (and camera's) hopefully.

.    As you can see by the dates, our one month stay was extended to two.  We had such a great time with Kasen as well as with Lyn and Rita and their extended family, that we did not want to leave.
During our stay we visited the Aquarium, the Zoo, the Botanical Gardens.  I joined in on a 10 kilometer bike ride for diabetes.
I also put a little garden together for Kasen.  A couple of tomato plants, zuchini, eggplant, basil and parsley.
Kasen, Lyn, Johanne and I took a ride on the local high speed commuter train called the Rail Runner.  But most of all I played with a very charming little boy, Kasen.
.    Our last night in New Mexico, we went to Del's Restaurant and I had my last New Mexico food for some time to come.
.July 28-29: With a bit of apprehension we started our eastward trip, hoping the RV would travel without any further problems.
We met with Lyn and Kasen for a last visit, just off I-40 nearest their house.  Then on to Tucumcari, NM for the night.
.July 29-30: Onward to Elk City, Oklahoma and our first RV park, in a very long time,  that had no room for us. But, we did go to an alternate (more expensive) and it turned out to be one we had stayed at during our first year on the road.
The next morning we stopped at the Route 66 museum in Clinton, OK....another stop we had made during our first year.

.    The memorial and museum are very well done and I would encourage anyone that has the opportunity to visit this National Historic site and to realize that not all terrorism is from outside our own country.
     To visit the
National Historic website
.July 30-Aug 1: After leaving the Rt 66 Museum we continued on to Oklahoma City,  We stayed at a Council Rd RV park just off of I-40 in OKC. We had prearranged a meeting with our friends Bonnie and Jim (more CARE volunteers).
They are full time RVers also, but return to OKC where they have famiily.
Jim drove us around the city and gave us a good tour, winding up at the Memorial for the 1995 bombing.  We were surprised and amazed at what a beautiful job they had done to memorialize the tragedy.
And, since we did not have our camera it was decided we would return the following day to take pictures and visit the museum.
