·        Everyday the student will have the chance to earn 3 classroom performance points for being present, following the rules, and participating in classroom activities.  Classroom performance points will be awarded or taken away for a student’s effort and behavior.

 

·        Students who are absent must make up all work missed within 5 days after returning to school and must present a slip showing that their absence justified before any work can be made up.  Failure to make up work within the 5 day window of opportunity will result in a zero for each assignment that was due.  It is the student’s responsibility to ask the teacher about missed assignments.

 

 

Additional classroom performance points may be earned for the following:

 

1.      Showing extraordinary effort and enthusiasm to use Spanish

2.      Making a positive contribution to the learning of the language

3.      Participating in a classroom game or activity

 

 

Five Classroom performance points will be deducted as follows:

 

1.      Disruptive behavior that interferes with the learning environment

2.      Failure to follow school or class rules

3.      Failure to complete a homework assignment
