Elliot's Ambition is a musical project of singer/songwriters Fionna Ross and Tom Ingham. Initially the project was meant to be a solo venture of Fionna's, however after bumping into Tom one evening at a St Andrew's open mic, a collaboration was forged. Both Fionna and Tom have been writing songs for over ten years, and recently Fionna has been concentrating more on actually performing her songs. Yet another angsty soul, writing from the heart in search of some kind of primal scream-esque therapy, Fionna has been spending a lot of time playing at the Waverley's Out of the Bedroom nights in Edinburgh. Tom is one of those musicians who has the unbelievable abilty of picking up an instrument and instantly being able to play it. His musical repertoire includes amongst others, drums, guitar, violin and piano, and he has an impressive back catalogue of giggage!
The collaboration of Fionna and Tom has already shown much potential, with recent performances at St Andrew's "The Raisin", the "I'm With the Band" nights at the Student Union, and also at the Fife and Tayside Battle of the Bands.
Recently Chris Manighetti (amazing bassist from St Andrew's rockers, the Patriot Act) has been adding some much needed bass to Elliot's electric songs - thanks to the Patriot Act for letting us borrow him....(actually, thanks for letting Fionna borrow Tom too, cos he is also the drummer in the Patriot Act.....). Things are just starting to get exciting.... |
