Why
kids should go to an International School other then a Japanese school
in Tokyo

Did you know that in Japan there are
exactly 80
international schools? Most of them are all English speaking, while
some have Japanese classes as
well. Dod you also know that most kids that attend a private school do
better educationally then a public school student. Also, all
international schools are private and a lot of Japanese schools are
public, as well as private. Which do you think is better now? A private
international school or a Japanese school, public or private. I say
it’s international. Which is why I think international
schools
are better than Japanese schools in Tokyo.
More and more foreigners are coming to
Japan for
business everyday. Most of these people live in the Hiroo/Azabu Juban
section of Tokyo. Also, this is where the most international schools
like to have their schools located. Most international schools are
around this area but some but the other ones, in the country part of
Japan provide bus stops that are close to Hiroo or Azabu Juban. Since
this is convenient for the foreigners , they send their kids
deliberately off to some international school since they
can’t
speak Japanese. Other Japanese families usually send their kids off to
some Japanese school. I think that it will be better for your child if
you sent your child to an international school. If you sent them at a
young age, like kindergarten, your child will benefit because he or she
will also be able to speak English, not just Japanese, thus becoming
bilingual. This will really help your kid later on in the future since
most businesses really like enlisting English speaking people. If a
Japanese family had sent the off to a Japanese school, most likely they
wouldn’t know how to speak English unless later on when they
got
older, they choose to. Isn’t it less importunate to learn it
at a
young age though? Younger children learn languages with accelerated
agility. So by sending your child to an international school they will
get to learn another language at school and then keep up their Japanese
at home, in Japanese class and with their friends. According
to
http://www.bwrdd-yr-iaith.org.uk/en/cynnwys.php?cID=6&pID=case&nID=25
being bilingual allows you to have an advantage in thinking. Children
who are bilingual can think more flexibly in many different areas, one
is Creative thinking and words. Also, they tend to more sensitive to
the needs of listeners then people who only speak one language. Another
reason is they do better on their IQ tests then one language speaker.
Another reason why enrolling your child
in a
international school is the fact that they will learn more cultural
things since everyone is from diverse countries. This will widen their
historical perspective of the world. Some may be Japanese other
American, or maybe even French or Spanish or Mexican. This way, the
child will be able to learn more cultural experiences from their
friends and classes. Your child will be broadening their cultural views
on history. Numerable international schools tend to widen their history
class to the whole world at a young age. In a Japanese or American
school, they may tend to focus more on American history or Japanese
history then Ancient Greece and India and World War Two from the worlds
point of view. A lot of times, to make the children be credulous and
think their country is perfect and wonderful they may only teach the
children the reputable points on what their country did. I know some,
or maybe all Japanese schools, in their text books, Japan
isn’t
the abominable guy like our books sat Hitler was. They don’t
want
their next generation to think Japan is detrimental. Isn’t it
wrong to teach children erroneous assumptions. International schools
try to stick to the truth as best as they can . Since it is from the
world wide point of view you child may be getting a better view at what
really happened countless years ago in various parts of the world. This
way your child will know more about the world and it’s
historical
value.
All international schools are private, a
I said so
before. This means that overall international schools have better
learning facilities. Some Japanese schools are private as well, but
they don’t get the privilege to learn English or maybe not
even
learn about all the countries that international schools cover. Since
international schools are private you must take a test to see if
you’ll get accepted or not. I know that this may add
auxiliary
stress to the child but in the end your child will be getting the
inimitable education possible at the moment. Your child will probably
be in smaller quarters if they go to a private school but I think that
is better. If the class is smaller everyone will get to know each other
better then if they were in a big class. Also the teachers will be able
to get to know you so your child may feel more comfortable going up to
the teachers for guidance. As well as knowing your class well, you will
end up knowing the whole grade pretty well and maybe some other people
from different grades, either below you or above you. In these ways
private schools are commendable for your child. Your child will be able
to interact with other students and socialize more with people that are
not just in their grade. According to http://www.capenet.org/teach.html
students in private schools in the US have more motivation to learn new
things, their behavior is generally good as well as the students feel
safe. 52% say that private schools provide better education, 53% say
they do well in academic skills, 74% say that private schools have
better control over discipline. Students in private schools generally
do better in standardized tests. Another astounding statistic is that
88% or private school high school students apply for college while only
57% students from public schools apply!! The SAT scores for private
schools are well above the national average as well.
I hope that now you think you should
send your kids
off to an international school. It will truly benefit your
child’s education and they will have the best education
possible. This is guaranteed! Your kid will end up knowing
Japanese, English, all about other countries , have a variety of
friends, and will like the fact that they know everyone in their class.
Plus their average will be a high level by the time they graduate. So
this means that international schools are better then Japanese public
schools and why you should send your child to an international school
rather then a Japanese school. Send your child to an international
school and they will come out with their brains teeming with knowledge.
A mediocre Japanese students’s brain will be paltry compared
to
your child’s omniscient brain!!!
