a huge high wall of rock
bathed in soft sunlight filtering in through the leaves overhead
looming over the lone, struggling person clinging
onto the cold, jagged rock
a small speck in a mass of gray
feet slipping on the smooth stone
as she reaches out her hand
searching for a small crevice to help pull her up
not daring to look down
or else fear will consume her
as little by little she inches up
