| Shrek 2: [reviewed by ellice] well this moive was alright, i really didnt see any of what happenend in the movie coming. so i guess that would be called a 'creative script.' well the fun part of the movie was all of the songs it had in it. i really liked some of the songs. the movie also had a piece where it played off of some other movies too. i kinda got annoyed by all of the real life things like starbucks and justin timberlake being in there. there we go short and sweet! Starksy and Hutch: [reviewed by ellice] at first this movie was boring and i kept looking around becuase the movie people left on the bright lights. but then after the story developed it was really funny and the movie did have some parts that i didnt expect. it also had the original starsky and hutch in the ending [i think]. ok well there not much else to say, twas good. 50 First Dates: [reviewed by hope] This was a good movie except its gets ANNYONING because the same stuff happens. It had alot of funny scenes, most of them with Rob Schedler (however u spell his name). I would recommend this movie, but only if you didnt want to see any other movie. Secret Window: [reviewed by hope] I loooooved this movie!!! At first when my dad said we're going to see it I thought it would be boring, and it did start off like that. But, Johnny Depp made this movie work. If another actor did it, it would of sucked! The whole movie is based on this writer from Mississippi thinkin Johnny Depps charector stole his story. Through out the whole movie they had confrentations. The ending is the best part (That what they say throughout the whole movie). It has a "shocking Twist" at the end, just like most of Stephen King Movies. Lol...Its a real good movie. Id recommend it to Everyone! The Passion Of the Christ: [reviewed by hope] My dad has been wanting to see this movie ever since it came out, so we finally seen it. i dont see what all the attention is on it. We walked out of the theature cuz it was just so not interresting. The WHOLE movie is in Subtitles. They dont even speak a language that anyone could understand. The whole movie is just Jesus getting beat. (No offense but why would anyone want to sit there for 2-2 1/2 hours to just see him get beat through the WHOLE movie.) it started in the 1st 2 mins of the movie and Didnt stop. I personally dont want to see that. But i guess that acting was "good." I dont see why this movie made so much money. Starsky and Hutch: [reviewed by hope] Well....i only got to see about 5 mins of this movie even though i was lookin at the screen the whole time. It was a funny movie though. I liked Snoop Doggs charecter, he was funny. I never watched the series so i dont know if its better or not. The real actors that played them are in the film. I liked the movie and I'd recommend it. You Got Served: [reviewed by hope] I personally loved this movie. If you like B2K you probably too will love this movie. It starts off with J Boog, Omerion, Marques Houston, and Lil Fizz doing a dance off with another group with has Raz B. Of course you can just perdict whoses gunna win. The next day the White boys send MH a video challanging them for about 5 Grand. (Youll have to watch that part! The 5 grand has something to do with it ). Sooner or later Omerion falls for Marques Houstons Sister. While shes on a date with Omerion, She turns off his phone which leads to disater. MH and Omerion end up getting into a fight, which leads to them breaking up theier dance group. Raz B joins to take Omerions place. Then they fight and dance alot more. Overrall you can see that Omerion can NOT act, but supperisingly J boog is a real good actor. (He has some sentimental scenes...awww). I would recommend people to see it, but only if you can keep up with all the dancing! Barborshop 2: [reviewed by hope] I personally liked the 1st on alot better. This one kept having meaningless flash backs. They make lots of refrences to the 1st one so its better if you did see it. The story line was OK... A "Nappy cuts" moves across the street for Calvin's Barborshop. Ice Cube(Calvin), is worried that all his customers will go to the new place. The evil man that owns Nappy Cuts wants Calvin to sell his shop to him, which he has to much pride and says no. There was a couple of funny scenes but not like the first one. In Fact, i dont think they were in the shop most of the time. Overrall, If you seen the 1st one you probably want to see this one. Its good, but it dosent compare the the original. Along Came polly: [reviewed by hope] This movie seemed funny from the previews, but all the funny parts that they did put on the previews were it. It was an Ok movie. There was some retarted stuff that she got mad at him for. And it didnt make much sense. So, if you like Ben Stiller or Jennifer Aniston you would like this movie, but if you want to see a funny movie, then dont see it. Its more of a "romantic" movie. Big Fish- This movie was a different breed of movie all together. i almost did cry while watching it yet strangely enough reminded me of my life on different levels. the big fish isnt really an action movie, or really any klind at all, but it was very imaginatalive and had lots of strange ideas but it did make sense. there is a fish in the movie but it isnt really significant during the majority of the movie, only the ending and begining. this is a unique movie. Peter Pan-well i had for the first time seen the cartoon version of peter pan two days before watching the real people version... and wow there are so many differnences between the two movies, its is as they are two different plots all together. the cartoon version makes me mad of how much details were left out and mangled the story line was. there was so much detail put into this movie its amazing, i was dissapointed to see little kids sitting around me in the theatre[plus not many my age], and not only that much the theatre wasnt full. its really not for children however the movie has been made child safe. again i must add any movie with swords is bound to be a great one. this film had no trick ending but i was dissaponted in it, not really the acting, just how sad the story was written. this movie really did pull me into another fantasy world, it was a beautiful yet very deppressing it must be after knowing the ending however it did leave room for imagination. life was all just a game to peter pan up until a small portion of the fast pace movie where everything sadly didnt change but had the potential to. the story flowed togther so well but still showed the stubborness of people the the necessary change that must occur. its impossible to describe any part of this great movie without giving it away. you must see it, i suggest you go during the night so you can avoid the crying babies interupting the emotional scenes. The Lord of the Rings: return of the king- ok the conclusion of the trilogy didnt forget to add and finish in parts of the story introduced in the fellowship. i had even forgotten some peices. the movie didnt hold back on details and brought up a variety of emotions, some emotions were envoked by the last part of the movie. it really tricked me into the false ending serveral times but im glad it did becuase if it had ended on one of the false endings i would have been dissappointed and left with many questions. from the fighting to the details this was a great movie. the only adive i share with you is that when i went to the movies a hour in advance i still got a bad seat, and remember that the movie is extremely long so dont plan to do much else in the day you chose to view LOTR. The Last Samurai- well every since the summer came when i saw the movie poster i sets my intentions on seeing the movie but then when i was getting ready for school recently i saw tom cruise have an interveiw with katy curik[?] and i really got disgusted and didnt wanna see it until i saw the star actor appear on jay leno. so i finally went to the cinemas. the movies 1sr scences kinda didnt look like what i had expected to appear in such a film but alos within the 1st scences there, the first tense part came in which was follwed by many more up until almost the end. throughout the movie i kept thinking back to kenshin becuase both were set in the shogunate[ i think thats wut its called] era where guns were just introduced to japan and swords were being outlawed, also reminding me of kenshin was the corrupt cops. the movie did seem realistic and had lots of subtittles [which isnt such a bad thing for me] and it also contained alot of really cool/bloody sword fight scences and showed the system of [dieing with[ honor. the movie made lots of sense and flowed well. Love Actually- oh this was such a good movie, even though i was sick while i saw it the movie did get me interested. there are some really graphic parts in the movie it is kinda done ironically, i guess hats the best word for it. it was a little confusing at the begining with so many characters but they all define themselves quickly. it not all romanitc love that i kinda expected, the movie involved a range a little boy falling in love to a husband and well not the woman he married. before u go to see the movie you should learn some british voacab like bollox [im not sure of the spelling to i guess i just depleted the purpose of mentioning that word], wanker, and some other things. yes also i thought iwas was kinda funny og ow true that movie is when it comes to american girls and brits, although i think it was exaggerated. and in the end everything just comes together jeepers creppers 2- ok at first i thought that the mpvie was a preview, appartently it wasnt. lol. well the beginging of it kinda did get me wondering what would happen next. the movie didnt seem all that scary, more of a funny movie by accident. jc2 was definently a classic movie thought becuase it had those parts that made me think 'no dont do that you idiot!'... ya know like when someone runs upstairs entrapping themslef to the kiler type of thing. i'll admit it, i did jump at one part of the movie but only once. its kinda hard to keep track of all the characters becuase there is so many howevwer, no worries, most of them die in the end after all. the medallion- first of all i am a jakie chan fan, im not sure if this will make this biased or not. well like all jakie chan movies it has someyhing to do with china[hk], a common plot if you have seen lots of his movies however i havent seeen one exactly like this one. some unexpected stuff happens in this movie like umm he dies, i dont think i gave anything away, sorry if i did. well as we see in the previews jakie chan obtains possession of a medallion, it gives him soper human strength but i think he can get through most of his stunts with a medallion hoever there are a couple as you will see. from the first couple of secounds of the movie it seems like a serious one but quickly converts to i comedy i'd say. that pizza guy from theres somethign aobut mary is sooo funny! and there are some parts that did surprise me. the last fight seen kinda reminded me of a vampire movie, pretty cool, but i dont like the way the movie does end. it was chessy... the boss's daugther- ok well this movie definatley had some boring parts to it. i lept paying attention to the condensation of my soda dripping onto my hand, it was more intense then the movie. well there was some parts where i did laugh but not many. before i saw the movie i had an expectation for it to be alot more funnier then it was however the person i went to see the movie with did like it, and said he'd suggest his brother to see it. this movie wasnt very funny and didnt meet my expectations which i should have figured when the theatre was empty. |
| ok well here are movie reviews done by me or my cousin, hope. im trying to keep them shorter then they used to write them. i am sorry i dont really capitalize but i guess i should start doing that again lol. |
