He's certifiably delusiona!l ;) Anyway, Julia is on top form as a scheming commitment phobic, who discovers that she is in love with her best friend, Dermott Mulroney. She tries at all costs to stop him from getting married. Rupert Everett is perfect as her gay sidekick. Now all I need is another gay best friend and it'll all fall into place. Hhmmm, Brendy?! ;) |
| [romeo & juliet] The best Shakespearean movie ever made. I, first, watched it as a 10 year old. Yup, didn't know who the Bard was. But how I manage to grasp the storyline, I know not! This 1968 adaptation, is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece. From the second, the scene opens, you feel the sense of doom & gloom that carries on thoughout the movie. Fantastic setting & atmosphere. The naive, Olivia Hussey, and sensitive, Leonard Whiting, simply shine as everyone's favourite star crossed lovers. |

I walked out of the cinema in a daze, wishing I was living the movies.. but hey, real life gets in the way! ;) The lovely, Jeniffer Lopez, is a career-focused, wedding planner. Her world turned upside down when she fell for doctor, Matthew McConaughey. Complications arise, when she realised that he is the groom, whose wedding she has to plan!! He stars as a gold hearted, travelling chocolate salesman (aww...) who helps a pregnant, unwed, stranger (Aitana Sanchez-Gijon) by pretending to be her husband. An eye candy, cinematographic experience! This movie is shot at a foreign locale, Napa Valley... the whole movie screams, SENSUOS *sigh* |
