| [the writer] SoulMates continued.. |
| James woke up, startled by the unexpected ringing of the doorbell. "Who could be here, at this frickin' hour?" he muttered under his breath. His clock read five a.m. Groaning, he got out of bed, looking for his bathrobe. While the incident of last night still hovered in his head. Hans had dropped his bombshell of a news. He was moving out and he did so before midnight, taking with him nothing. James thought it was pretty weird. Afterwards, out of curiosity, James went to Hans' room. Apart from the standard furnishings, it was basically empty. Nothing at all which would personalise Hans' being. No human touch. Funny, how little he knew about Hans, eventhough they had been living under one roof for over two months now. "Emily.." James was pleasantly surprised to see her standing at his door. She looked like she had not slept a wink. Her hair was in disarray and she was stripped of her usually immaculate make up. But she was beaming. James thought she was breathtakingly beautiful at that moment. She gave him her biggest and most radiant smile. James realized that it was the first time he saw her positively brimming with happiness. "The sun's shining on you, Em?" he grinned. "What's up??" The smile thing was rather infectious, it seemed. "It will soon be, Jamie. Go get dressed. I am soo tired of living at night. Shall we catch the sunrise...?" |

'SoulMates' is based purely on the figments of Sheri's boundless imagination. It is inspired by eternal discussions of soulmate-ish topics with friends, in cafes, schools, pubs and the Net. See how productive those sessions are, folks? ;) A bouquet of roses to Ken Moran for this Serendipity. |
