[the writer]            SoulMates                                                                        continued..
She willed herself to look at him. Hoping against hopes that it would be him. Afraid that it would be someone else.

"It has been quite awhile now, Angel.. hasn't it ?"

Hans made his way towards her. His hand tenderly brushing her dark, wind blown hair, away from her eyes.

Even in darkness, he could see her irises lit up at the sight of him. Warm and clear as the summer days they had spent together. She had always have that look about her when they were together. And he guesssed from her smile, he must have had it too.

'I have missed you, Ethan,' she confessed, not able to hide the utter despair in her voice.

A tear rolled down her eyes, but Hans caught it before it hit the worn-out ground. He tasted it. Her warmth charged him, making him alive. She was his aphrodisiac.

He looked at her again. His Emily. He could not take his eyes off her. She was as breathtaking as ever, eventhough sadness had a strong hold on her. He took in her sweet features again so as not to forget..

Hans slowly memorised every single curve on her face. The rosy spread of colours on her cheeks as he did so and the ethereal  glow of her skin. Ironically,
she looked unearthly.

'I have missed you too, Angel.'

Emily felt his soothing, warm, voice carressing her. Enveloping her against the cold. She found herself unwilling to take her eyes off him. Eventhough wind had lodged debris of dust into her eyes.

She told herself that if he left her sights for even a second, he would be gone to her forever.

Time has a way of doing that.
Like
that Millenium night.
