| How many sugars you take With your favourite earl grey Or with that jasmine infused green tea Which you claimed to be a tonic for the body? Does he know you try to avoid coffee Like it is a plague Stirring waves of nerve attacks Into your unsuspecting bubbly soul? Does he know when temptation beckons, You succumb in totality And you throw cautions in the wind In favour of that Mocha Caffeinne Free. Does he know it was you, who said The Chocolate in it Acts as a soothing balm To swinging moods An extinguisher to fiery tempers Which dutifully arrives by the way As forecasted A thunderstorm On every third Wednesday Of every month And when it leaves It rains.. Does he know that after the rain The world sees nothing but a rainbow You cleverly paint with water colours That nobody knows to look But if they did, they would Find no gold at the end of it? Does your boyfriend know About the only gold he could find Are the priceless specks from your eyes? But which would take him Endless quests to discover Because the depths of your eyes Could get him lost And then he would miss The million golden stars Shining you....?" |
