The first time I saw him was in the gym.

Treading determinedly as I was on the air-stepper, I was fully aware of his dark eyes, trailing my body. I was moving hard in rhythm against the machine... the stamina I must have had then. But I chose to ignore him.

Then Javi walked in. In walked distraction. In walked my Spanish dream boat.
Javi. The reason for my supposed gym addiction...

To my surprise, Javi got into a mini conversation with
him. Then, he headed my way, introducing me to his new gym partner, Kyle.
From Panama.

'Another Latin lover,' I thought cheekily to myself. Suppresing my urge to laugh. 'Nice to meet you, Kyle...' and so it went.

At first, I thought nothing of Kyle but as a step towards understanding Javi. How from him, I could perhaps obtain information about Javi. But Kyle seemed to want no part in it.

Slowly we became acquainted.
Him, chatting to me when I was working out. Him, asking me to help with weights and sit-ups. Him, flirting with me delicately. And him, giving me smoulderingly sensual looks and smiles.

And then, there were those moments, when I seemed to see him everywhere I go. God knows, I must have bumped into him many times. At the tube. At a cafe. On the streets..

Hmmm.. Fate, it must be, I thought. Him and me. Bounded by Fate. So my imagination went into overdrive. It was only a matter of time, that Javi was soon replaced by Kyle in my dreamboat stakes.

Kyle must have sensed it. Because he sure acted strangely with me after.

Cold. Distant. Yet still, seducing. The games began. It drove me crazy. I hated it. But I was reluctantly drawn to it. It was a typical case of the bad-boy syndrome. And I was hopelessly infected with it.
