Naughty TonguesA wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. Proverbs 17:4 Our enemy Satan doesn't take a holiday from publicizing his cause, now or ever. His followers keep up a steady stream of lies to convince the lost that Christian attempts to convert the unsaved are an enslavement to exploit them and deny them perfectly wholesome and harmless pleasures. They say that the Christmas holidays are just another foolish outburst by deluded fools who insist that their Lord Jesus exists, His Father exists, the Holy Spirit exists, and that we not only ought to pay attention to what they say but we ought to honor them as well. They try to portray the Christian's wish for everyone to follow God's way as an outrageous attempt to force an arbitrary morality down everyone else's throats. That is why Satan and his children use God's name as a curseword. If people used the name of their earthly father the way they use the name of the Lord, they would find out soon enough how wise or foolish that was. You can tell a lot about the actual intentions behind someone's choice of words by their past history. Satan was the highest angel in the heavenly government until he was caught misusing his office. He willfully ruined the lives of a third of the heavenly host by deceiving them into following him into a rebellion against God. He then convinced our first parents Adam and Eve into joining his rebellion, which is why we are in the sorry state of world affairs prevailing today. The evil they do reflects their hatred of God and His ways and their desire to overthrow Him and institute their own kingdom forever under Satan's rule and Satan's ways. The disaster that would envelope the universe if they ever did it is clearly shown in the disaster throughout the Earth wherever men have turned from God's ways to Satan's ways. God declared that Satan is the father of lies and speaks in lies because that is his nature. Any time you hear one of these "voices of reason" trying to convince you that his ways are better than God's ways, watch out! Satan and his followers are not interested in liberating mankind from God at all. They know that they will soon be confined in Hell, and they spitefully want to take as many humans with them as possible to hurt God as much as possible. If they can do it by deception so that their human target takes part in his own destruction, that will do just as well as any other method as well as giving them the perverse satisfaction of watching another hapless soul die unsaved still thinking that all is well and there is no eternal confinement in Hell with the very beings who engineered his destruction. If they were willing to deceive their own brethren angels, how much more will they deceive you? If you have been saved, do you realize that you have not only been born again into God's family, you have been liberated from Satan's prison? This whole planet and its inhabitants have been a captive part of Satan's kingdom of darkness ever since Adam and Eve joined his rebellion against God. They thought they were being liberated from God to be truly free persons, but instead found themselves and their descendents enslaved by Satan through sin, that is, by breaking God's law. This world has been cruelly held by Satan for nearly 6000 years. As part of his ongoing war against God, he has unleashed every weapon he could against God by attacking His beloved human race. Wars, famines, pestilence, you name it, if it is evil Satan didn't hesitate to use it. The book of Job in the Bible is an account of how Satan will attack a righteous man if he gets the opportunity. When Satan was allowed to come before God's presence, God asked him what he had been doing to give him the opportunity to open a discussion before the Heavenly assembly watching the unfolding of the rebellion. God asked if he had considered Job and his ways. Satan responded that Job only served God because God provided him with many good things. If God were to take them away, he said that Job would turn against him. He was saying that the intelligent beings that were loyal to God were only in it for the money. That slandered both God and his loyal host. God allowed Satan to test Job by putting everything but Job himself in Satan's power. Satan destroyed all of Job's children with a storm and destroyed most of the servants when he sent raiders to steal the livestock that formed the bulk of Job's wealth. Job mourned for his children and his losses, but did not turn away from the Lord. Please note two things at this point. Job had not sinned in the ways his older friends would accuse him of doing to call for any punishment at this point, so what happened was not a punishment from God for sin. Also, God never said to Satan what to do, just what not to do. Satan chose the methods he used against Job. A lot of evil in this world is actually a demonic attack against humans in the war. God is allowing it to the extent that He does to show everyone why Satan's sinful ways are so evil. That is part of the punishment of the human race for Adam's and Eve's treason. It also shows that if your parents or rulers aren't trustworthy in following God, the people in their care can suffer greatly for it. Satan then got permission to afflict Job himself. God permitted him to use sickness but not kill him. Job suffered terribly from a skin disease that covered him with painful sores. Worse yet, his wife, possibly influenced by Satan, urged him to turn against God. He told her that she was talking foolishly and he would not. Then some of his friends came to console him, and instead accused him of having some secret sin that God was punishing him for. He came pretty close to breaking, but protested his innocence. Finally the youngest man there explained that God does not do wickedness and does not punish someone without a sin having been committed. God is a great king that made everything for its purpose. Sometimes a king's commands may not be understood by his subjects, but the king must act in the best interests of the whole kingdom. God leaves us here in this sinful world not only for our spiritual growth, but for the spiritual growth of His whole host. He doesn't want people to just take His word for it that sin is evil, he wants everyone in His kingdom to come to that conclusion so that they will not practice sin. In this case, God used Satan's attacks against Job both as an example of sin but also as a lesson to Job about his excessive self-righteousness. Job had magnified himself against God in his complaints about his sufferings, and God wanted Job to grow spiritually and trust Him that He was working everything out for everyone's good. You can train a child in God's ways when he is little, but there comes a point when the child has to decide that what you told him was the truth and the best way for him to live. Once he has accepted this and begun to follow God's ways voluntarily, your job as a teacher and steward responsible for his decisions has ended. He is now self disciplined to responsibly direct his life. God wants all of his children to be self disciplined in His ways. It was Adam's and Eve's irresponsible decision that got us imprisoned in Satan's kingdom, and God wants us to learn to make wise, godly decisions for ourselves and the people who may be placed in our care so that that never happens again. Part of that is learning to trust God no matter what is happening around you. Part of your freedom purchased by Christ is the duty to spread the word about what is really happening in the civil war and how other human beings can be set free by rejoining God's kingdom. Are you spreading the gospel where and when you can? Are you setting more captives free? The time for the end of the 6000 years of punishment of the human race is coming to an end. Jesus will soon return and take His church from the Earth before the seven years of Tribulation begin. Please, do your best to spread the word while there is still time to snatch prisoners from Satan's grasp! Sadly, many of the unsaved find it more natural to listen to Satan's lies than to listen to God's truth. Humans are creatures of habit, and Satan carefully directs his world systems to mold people from infancy into his ways. Much of the Christian walk is a struggle against the old habits learned before the Christian was saved and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. How much more difficult is it for a lost person to struggle against the flow of the world system! It is easier to listen to and agree with the lies and ways of the world than to stand up against them and declare that God's ways are the best. If you aren't saved, please don't let old habits and the fear of condemnation if you stand against the world's ways keep you in agreement with Satan's lies and steadily on the road to eternal damnation with him. God loves you and wants you to join His family and live with Him for eternity. Jesus bought a free pardon for you on the Cross, and all you have to do is turn to Him in repentence and ask for it to be saved. Please sincerely pray this prayer and you will be saved: Dear God, I'm sorry for my sins. I want to join your Heavenly family and I submit to King Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I renounce anything to do with Satan, his kingdom, and his ways. Please save me and adopt me as one of Your children. In Jesus' Name, Amen
