COMMON BABY THINGS WITH UNCOMMON USES

COTTON SWABS

1.  Paint swabs.  Do touch-up paint jobs around the house and on the car.  Swabs also make good paint brushes for kids; they can use one for each color and throw them all away at the end of the painting session.

2.  Makeup applicator. A sanitary cotton swab is ideal for applying eye-shadow and removing mascara globs.

3.  Tape cleaner. Dip cotton swabs in head cleaner (available at electronics supply stores) to clean the heads on VCR's and tape recorders.

4.  Insect flicker. Knock insects from houseplants with an alcohol-moistened cotton swab.

5.  Crevice cleaner. Clean between blender and phone buttons, in sewing machines and camera crevices, in shower door runners, and in other tight spots.
