Ella Koon took part in a charity raffle ticket selling event yesterday in aid of Yan Chai. This is her first time for this type of event and she wore hot pants and a strappy top, looking rather sexy. When asked if she was worried about people taking advantage, she says that she believes these things will not happen and in the hot weather, many girls will dress this way so it is not really too seductive. She is also not worried that she will be ignored by the public in selling her tickets because they are all very friendly and supportive.
Talking of TVB reducing the number of variety shows recently, leaving newcomers having to fight to take part in series to increase their exposure, Ella indicates that she has just signed with TVB and has had a screen test, so if there are suitable scripts, TVB will ask her to appear in their series. Ella would very much like to film a series, especially an ancient drama because she feels that the costumes are very beautiful. She adds that she is very stubborn so she would be an excellent choice for a conceited princess role. With comments that as she belongs to a smaller record company, is she worried that she will lose out to stars from other larger companies? She believes that it cannot be judged in this way because the most important thing is to do your best. Moreover, TVB is arranging parts for her and this has nothing to do with her record company and although they are small, everyone works extremely hard.
When it was mentioned that Fiona Sit has met with much gossip since she started filming, she is not worried that the same thing will happen to her because she will remember that she must be friendly and polite to other people. Is she not afraid that being overly friendly will bring her rumours? She laughs: "I am not hugging and kissing people, showing basic manners should be no problem."

Bernice Liu, Ella Koon, Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu were guests at the opening of a fitness centre yesterday and arriving at the venue in a convertible, Bernice created quite a scene... Ella was also given a lifetime membership from the centre as well as her own personal trainer. Originally it didn't matter whether it was to be a man or woman, because it is just for training, but her record company felt a female trainer would be better. As she is busy working, she would only take one or two days a week to go to the gym, but now it is better and even if she is busy, she can still keep fit and get toned.

Ella Koon and Cutie Mui met up at a charity waterskiing competition and fun day yesterday. Also present was pop and movie sensation Cecilia Cheung.
Boyz were acting as Ella's water skiing coaches and when Ella fell over in the water, Kenny dived in to rescue her and she praised him for his gallantry. Ella says: "He is a gentleman. Will I fall for him? He is not bad, but I don't think he likes me. I am pleased that Cecilia said she liked my eyes before because she is an ultimate beauty and I was very surprised." On the receiving end of so much praise, Kenny laughed: "She is doing very well, Steven and I have learned to waterski from Cutie Mui and I am in love with her. I fell over once and injured my face, so now I pray before I go out."
On the other hand, Cutie does not accept Kenny's affections as she says: "Don't be silly! However, they are both doing very well and are very smart. I am thankful for them coming along despite being so busy and they will reap good reward for their charity. I wish them top record sales!"

TVB's new series "Hotel Turmoils" had their costume fitting ceremony yesterday and cast members include Kenix Kwok, Joe Ma, Ella Koon, Ron Ng, John Chiang and Elaine Yiu...they will be heading out to Dongguan for location filming later.
...Ella will be playing a fishmonger in the show and she says that she will be visiting a market to observe reality as she has never sold fish before and she is a little afraid. Due to her character, she will only be wearing little make up for the show and she feels happy about this because it will save on cosmetics and make up time.
When asked how she spent Halloween, Ella says that she stayed at home because since entering showbiz, she rarely goes out, only going to Karaoke birthday parties with her colleagues at the most. With such routine to her life, is she worried that the day and night madness of filming series will wear her out? She admits that she is a little worried, but she is most worried about getting lost in TVB City because at the moment, she has lifts from the assistants, but when she is filming she may not have this and will need to depend on herself. She says: "Although I have had my drivers licence for a few years, I rarely drive and I think I will have to depend on taxis when the time comes."
In the series, Ella will be paired with the hotel owner's son Ron and there will be a scene where he has to kiss her violently. She laughs: "In filming there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Also I am a fishmonger girl who is strong enough to push him away. (Have you already given away your first screen kiss?) Yes, earlier I was filming for a movie with Chow Chun Wai and have given it to him, but after I kissed, my character died."
Earlier, for the sales presentation clip, Ron had to kiss Linda Chung. Now that the show is going ahead, Linda's role has been replaced with Ella. In response to Ella threatening to push him away hard if he tries to kiss her, Ron says: "I think she will like it really and anyway, she is just prawn fishing and not really fishing, so her strength will be limited!"

Bernice Liu and Ella Koon were guests at the opening of a skincare product store yesterday. As a chocolate lover, Ella says that this brand has a chocolate flavour moisturiser that is just right for her. She says that she likes this fragrance because it will attract her dog to her and she does not have to try and catch it. However, her dog is not allowed to eat sweet things. She explains that her friend did not know that her dog was diabetic and kept giving it sweet things to eat, but two weeks later, the dog died. Ella has been busy filming a series recently and says that she finishes work very late at night, so her taxi fares mount up to nearly $10,000 a month, leaving her rather upset.

TVB's new series "Revolving Doors of Vengeance" held its studio blessing ceremony yesterday and the cast members taking part included Kenix Kwok, Ron Ng, Ella Koon, Joe Ma, Winnie Yuen and John Chiang...
Ella has been filming for "Revolving" for over a month now and she says she is very happy because the series has given her many new experiences, such as filming fighting scenes. Although this has left her with rather sore palms, she does not find it hard work.
Recently there were reports in a magazine where she was voted as the number one in a "Person I would most like to lose my virginity to on Christmas Eve" poll and she laughingly thanks everyone for voting for her, but she would not think of this in a seedy manner. Maybe people just like her easy-going look. However, as a result of this vote, she has been the brunt of many jokes, telling her to be careful on Christmas Eve. She laughs: "This year's Christmas Eve will be very peaceful for me and I will not even be in the streets because I have to stay in the studios and work on filming. (Were your Christmas Eves in the past peaceful too?) As peaceful as you can get!"
In "Revolving", Ella has a scene where she is violently kissed by Ron, but this has not been filmed yet. She smiles: "It is better filming this later, because it gives us a chance to get to know each other." When Ron was asked if he has been building up a relationship with Ella in preparation for this scene, he says: "The scene says I forcefully kiss her, so there is no need for a relationship, but we do chat. (Do you know her well?) I know she is Ella Koon."

Ella Koon was spotted in TKO TVB City yesterday as she joined the rest of the cast from "Revolving Doors of Vengeance" as they headed out to film on location in Laoag in the Philippines.
Seeing her with her case, Ella was asked by the reporters what she had prepared and she indicated that as she suffers very easily from allergies, she has brought plenty of mosquito repellant as well as shorts, tops and bikinis. When it was mentioned that she could go sunbathing on the beach and meet some handsome guys, Ella joked that she would like to try nude sunbathing, but now she is in showbiz, she is afraid of being photographed, so she daren't do it now.
When she was warned about the local hygiene standards, Ella says that she will be careful: "I will not eat the local chicken." Also she knows that the sex industry there is rife, but she likes to have massage and is worried that she might end up in the wrong plcae. She laughs: "It happened once when I was in Dongguan and the receptionist asked me if I wanted 'traditional' or 'non-traditional' massage service. I didn't understand and when I asked again, she indicated that the 'non-traditional' side had more men queuing."
Talking of the casinos in Laoag, will Ella take time out for a flutter? She says: "It depends if I have time or not. I was in England the first time I went to a casino and it was very spooky because I guessed correctly every time, but I did not bet very much." Ella will be spending the Chinese New Year period in Hong Kong and she says happily that she has not been in Hong Kong for the new year in the past couple of years, so she has lost out on a lot of lucky packets. Hwoever, as well as receiving lucky money this year, Ella has also prepared around $10,000 to hand out to her colleagues and staff.
