Fort McConnell |

Nope - it's not a military base, but the "Fort" in the "pet name" we've chosen for our new house does pay homage to the fact that we're both military brats. "McConnell" is the name of a character that Scott played at the Texas Renaissance Festival for a number of years. |

Here they've got the frame for the foundation built - all the pipes are in place. You're looking straight up what will be the driveway. |

The foundation is laid! You can get a bit of a feel for the house now, looking up the driveway into the garage area and the front "porch." |

Two weeks go by, and the house is almost completely framed! Yes, that's one of our bathtubs you can see in the garage. |

One week later, and framing is complete! The roof is done and the outer insulation is in place. The only thing they haven't done is the wiring and ductwork. |
