| The voice of my Lover woos me |
| A young girl knocked at the door then rapidly withdrew, as she didn�t find a rapid respond. She exclaimed bitterly, "No one is home! No one can hear me knocking, and no one answers to my yearnings!" This is identical to the condition in which many find themselves as they spend time praying and knocking at the gates of heaven. For just when the Lord would have answered their prayers and spoken with them, they would already have left their prayer spot in the church or at home. They feel that the Lord neither hears nor responds to their shouts. It is so sad when a person speak but does not stop to listen to the voice of his God as He woos him! This is exactly what prompted me to sit alone. I want to listen to God, my dearly beloved, and hear Him wooing me. In every circumstance: in celebrations, in sadness, in sickness, in health, in the midst of crowds, or when alone in my bedroom, I hear His wooing me and saying: "Listen to Me My child, you are the desire of My Heart!" |
