Though we've never met.
Your smile, soft and comforting,
Though we've never touched.
Your eyes invite me to fall into you,
Thought we've never stood close.
And your voice, your words,
they caress me
Though we've never shared breath upon skin.
Your dreams enlighten me,
Your ambition inspires me.
All this I wish to share with you.
After days, even months,
again we will talk.
Sharing the good, bad, joyful and sad,
As though we've never been apart.
It seems like eternity
I've longed for your touch
To feel your breath on my body
Taste your lips on mine.
I feel my hand in your's
But it's not really there
Again, a dream I am awaken from
Reminds me I'm alone
I try so hard to believe
One day it'll be true
Your arms, your warm embrace
Will take me into tender sleep.
