Stefanie has become a patron of the Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage in Zimbabwe. It is an orphanage for lost and injured wild animals. WASHINGTON, DC - Actress Stefanie Powers, President, The William Holden Wildlife Foundation, and spokesperson for the Bushmeat Crisis Task Force (BCTF), spoke at the National Press Club on Monday, May 21. Ms. Powers' remarks focused on the BCTF's efforts to conserve wildlife populations threatened by illegal commercial hunting of endangered wildlife species, including elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and other species. The BCTF, founded in 1999, is a consortium of conservation organizations and professionals dedicated to the conservation of wildlife populations threatened by commercial hunting of wildlife for sale as meat.
