| Thank you for supporting our event! | ||||||||||||||||||
The basket bingo was held on July 31, 2004 at the American Legion in Elizabethtown. The event went really well. Between ticket sales, raffle tickets, donations, and the concession stand we raised $2,902.97. This amount does not include the $220 raised at the concession stand for our Elizabethtown Fair project. This was a very worthwhile event for a great cause. The family is extremely grateful and thanks us for our hard work and prayers during an extremely difficult time in their lives. Great job by all the members who helped by working the concession stand and donating baked goods and soda. We extend a special thank you to the West, East, and South York MOMS Clubs for donating an overwhelming amount of baked goods for the event and buying tickets. Thank you Ladies! |

| About Will and Jenna: Afflicted at birth, Jenna has a condition called Hemangiomatosis of the Liver which attacked her liver to the extent she needed a transplant. Until that transplant, at age 2, she was unable to develop in the way that other healthy children do. Since the transplant she has made tremendous strides and is now 4 years old. Jenna takes several medications to safeguard against rejection and has a weakened immunity that heightens her susceptibility to common illnesses and their adverse effects. Jenna's younger brother Will was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor at his brain stem before his first birthday. Will had surgery to remove the cancer along with radiation and a stem cell transplant but had a recurrence of the cancer last fall. The second removal surgery has left Will without hearing in one ear, paralysis on his right side, and a tracheotomy because his airway won't remain open. Will then completed radiation and returned home requiring 16 hours a day nursing care and weekly therapy. Despite all efforts his cancer has spread into his spine and is no longer operable. The doctor's have given him a grim prognosis. Will just turned 3. |
