Brian Lucas- I joined the club back in early 2004 when the club was still at CiCi's. I learned how to push the pieces early but did'nt have anyone around that played. I briefly got interested in studing the game in college, but once again found it difficult to find any games. Then came the internet. While I was finishing my mechanical drafting at ETC, my math teacher and current member Johnny Owens introduced me to PlayChess.de and that was all she wrote. He later told me a club was meeting in town and I've been hooked ever since. |
