First of all I would like to thank our sponsors who without their help this great event wouldn't have taken place. Errol DeVeaux, D.D.S. Family Dentistry, Le Clair's Optical, First Command Financial Planning, First Time Inc., Acorn Locksmith, Goodman for Senator, Dave Brock, Johnny Owens, Ernie Weaver, Jerry Weldin, and Ace Sign and Graphics who donated our sponsor board and lettered our banner seen left. Credit is due to Stan Mullins for the last minite banner placement. |

Luckly, a majority of the players took advantage of early registration and most of the field was already loaded up. Our ad ran in the April edition of Chess Life and we enjoyed having players from Indiana, Cinncinatti, Louisville, Mumfordsville, Bardstown and New Haven. Justin Burg made a surprise appearance just before being deployed (good luck Justin). Seen right, is the playing room just before round one. |

Round 1 is now underway! 22 players settling in for a great day of chess. This was a 4 rounder and we needed to be finished by 6pm. |

To the left is our sponsor table and on the right are Jim McMahon second place finisher and Randis Burns, our Tune-up for Louisville Open Champion. Thanks to all who made this happen! |
