                                             REVIEW
Although including the single beam gatling shield as used by the original version of the Gundam Heavyarms, this figure is actually of the XXXG-01H2 Gundam Heavyarms Kai.  It can be discerned by the extra pair of thrusters atop its backpack, the small verniers on the front of the skirt armor, and the double vents on the side skirt armor.  Otherwise the original and Kai versions of the Heavyarms are identical externally.  The figure is nicely articulated, and the opening shoulder missile pods and chest gatling covers are definitely nice.  However, the figure has some problems.  The left hand must be removed for the gatling shield to be attached.  The gatling shield also has no storage point on the backpack, as seen in the anime.  Another drawback is the lack of opening leg missile pods.  The ver 2.0 of this figure not only addresses all these problems, but also adds double jointed elbows and knees, along with a slightly more detailed sculpt.  Note that there are two versions of this figure available, one with yellow paint, and one with gold.  For fans of the Heavyarms, this is an excellent figure.
During the military and political chaos occuring in AC 195, pilot Trowa Barton was forced to abandon his XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms mobile suit, leaving it behind on Earth when he went back out into space. Over the next few months, the abandoned Heavyarms would find its way into the care of guerilla rebel Sally Po. Sally, realizing the chaos would be concluded in space and that the infamous Gundam pilots would be at the very center of it, would later go into space herself, taking the Gundam with her to return it to its pilot. Aboard the independent battleship Peacemillion, Gundam supporter Howard would upgrade the groundpounding Heavyarms, outfitting it to fight in space.
Though the improvements made to the Gundam Heavyarms Kai appeared minor, they would give the mobile suit the edge it needed to deliver its firepower against the spacebound forces of White Fang's Virgo II mobile dolls and the mobile suits of the World Nation military. The addition of several vernier thrusters gave the Heavyarms stability in a zero-gee environment, and its new double beam Gatling gun increased its primary firepower to an even more devastating level.
