| REVIEW The most often used strike pack of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, the Aile Strike is faithfully represented in this fledgling Gundam SEED release. Using the same wonderfully detailed GAT-X105 Strike Gundam figure as the Sword, Launcher, basic and "De-Active" Strike, the Aile Strike figure is nonetheless worth the purchase for the inclusion of the Aile Striker Pack and FX-550 Skygrasper. The figure itself features ver 2.0 articulation, with double jointed shoulders, elbows, waist, knees, and ankles, ball jointed wrists, and articulated armor, all allowing for excellent poseability and play potential. Included as accessories are the Strike Gundam's beam rifle, two extra hand sets, a shield that can mount to either forearm and features a sliding handle, two folding combat knives that store in the figure's hip armors, and two detachable beam blades for the beam sabers mounted on the Aile Striker Pack. The Aile Striker Pack comes attached to the back of the FX-550 Skygrasper, and can be removed and attached to the back of the Strike Gundam, forming the Aile Strike. It features detachable beam sabers and articulated main thrusters. When in Aile Strike mode the figure is slightly back heavy and can be prone to falling over, but its poseability makes up for this and can stand on its own. The Skygrasper is equisitely detailed, with a swiveling gun turret mounted on its dorsal just aft of the cockpit, articulated thrusters, and includes two small clips for use with the Launcher Strike and Sword Strike Packs, both of which can be combined seperately with the Skygrasper. Also included is a black stand with "O.M.N.I" engraved into the top. The stand plugs into the bottom of the Skygrasper and allows for display of the unit with any of the Strike packs, or just the Skygrasper by itself. Even though there are four other identical versions of the basic GAT-X105 Strike Gundam available, this is an outstanding figure and a must have for any Gundam SEED fan. |

| Designed as a support unit for the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, the FX-550 Skygrasper is also the only means for the Strike Gundam to change out its special mission packs in the middle of a fight. Due to its design, the Skygrasper can be equipped with the Lightning, Launcher, Sword and Aile components of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam. The Skygrasper can also use the armaments from each of these components. | Unlike the other Gundam prototypes, the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam is intended to operate in many environments and various mission roles. The GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam is designed specifically for flight and mobility. In space, the additional thrusters make the Strike Gundam more maneuverable. On Earth, the AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker pack allows the Strike Gundam to fly in the atmosphere. Aside from the extra thrusters, the Aile Striker pack adds two beam sabers to the Strike Gundam's armaments. Additionally, the Aile Striker pack is capable of docking with the support fighter FX-550 Skygrasper. Because of its extra mobility, the Aile Striker pack is the most widely used of the Striker packs in space and on Earth.
