08/28/04 I need some help with my custom figures, so I ask of my fans a little favor; I NEED PARTS!!! I'm posting a list on Field Repair of all the various parts I need to finish my customs. Some are entire figures, others are just small pieces. For entire figures my deal still stands to those wanting a custom figure in exchange for the figure they are donating. Anyone else with just parts on the list that they are willing to donate may e-mail me at [email protected] for instructions on how to send them. Thanks to all my fans!

08/27/04 Gundam figures are still currently being advertised in the latest issue of Newtype USA, so no fears of the line being pulled off of store shelves for good. Despite the runors, it appears the recent actions by Target and Wal-Mart are in fact just attempts to clear out the old merchandise before the BIG X-mas release of SEED figures. Most stores purge before a big merchanidse push, and now is the perfect time to do so as the Holiday shopping season start is less than a month away.

08/17/04 It seems no one is sure what Target is up to now. Reports are all over the web about Target moving all their stock of MSiA, models, 7.5" figures and Arch Enemy figures into the clearance aisles. It seems to be mostly older Mobile Fighter G Gundam merchandise, and leftover stock of RX-78-2 Arch Enemy figures and 0080 HG model kits. However their has been at least one sighting of the new SEED 1/144 skill level one models being clearanced as well. Worse yet is that there no longer seems to be a Gundam spot in the boy's action aisle, as no pegs marked "Gundam" anything can be found. Surely Bandai can't have given up on Gundam SEED after one measly wave release, especially considering how fast it sold out completely. Hopefully all we're seeing is a "housecleaning" by Target to make room for new stock, and a chance to slash prices on some of the items that have been collecting dust for almost a year now on store shelves. Don't count SEED out yet. Because of the quality of the customs I did for some of you, it made me want to go back and "upgrade" a few of my originals. The biggest improvement by far is on my RX-78-6 Gundam "Mudrock". I finally broke down and bought myself a Fix Figuration, namely #0020 RX-78-6 Gundam "Mudrock". It can be converted between both the "unfinished" earlier version of the Mudrock and the later fully vernier-equipped version. It also includes parts to make the RX-78-5 Gundam Unit 5 "G05" and RX-78-5[Bst] Gundam Unit 5 "G05" from Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters In Space (PS2). If you don't have a Fix Figuration yet, I highly recommend this one, especially being the ONLY official 3-dimensional representation of the Mudrock. From this I was able to use it as a study model to create Ted Wimperis' RX-78-6 Gundam "Mudrock" (Ted you'll have it soon, I promise, just let me drool over it a lil longer before I send it ^_~ ). This new custom Mudrock is more of a version 1.5, and is a HUGE improvement over my first attempt. I'm upgrading my original custom Mudrock to match Ted's, and will be going through my collection of custom figures and doing what I can to upgrade the quality and detail of each. Long story short, after I get my hands on a new camera, look for pics of the new Mudrock version 1.5, and for those of you whose customs I still have, I should have them finished and sent off soon. One last note, if anyone wants to see the bar I strive to reach, this is the website of someone like me in Japan. They also do custom MSiA, but I could only hope to be this good someday... ^_^ MIAGallery

06/23/04 SEED figures are in stores! Now that everyone has had the chance to catch the latest Gundam series on Cartoon Network, Bandai has released the first wave of figures from the series. Check out the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED figure page for the list of current releases, and keep an eye out for new ones throughout the year. Bandai has already announced plans to have as many as 30 figures in the Gundam SEED lineup. Also due out soon are the Gundam Wing Battle Scarred figures. These each feature a distinctive diorama base, and detailed battle scarring reflective of the series. A nice touch is the inclusion of a destroyed (or more often pieces of) an OZ Leo MS in the diorama. Considering how many of these ended up as cannon fodder throughout the series, it makes for a nice touch.
