My Teaching Philosophy

· My objectives as a teacher are that i want to teach fundamental concepts, foster critical thinking, facilitate acquisition of life-long learning skills, and develop problem-solving strategies. I do no think that the educational goals of teachers are strong enough in today's society. Teachers should want all their student's to succeed. Once a teacher gives up, then the student's will too. I plan to address these concerns by being the best teacher that I can be and helping every student to the best of my ability.
· The methods I will use to achieve these goals are through many different theories. Through psychologists such as Piaget and Vyogotski I have learned many methods of teaching various students. Appling everything I have learned in college to my classroom will help me become the best teacher I can be. While teaching and following the curriculum, I will be as creative and help the students use exploratory knowledge to expand on their learning. I will use cooperative learning and group projects for students to not only learn from me but also each other.
· I assess and evaluate my effectiveness in achieving my objective as to the result I gain from the classroom experience. If I prompt the student's and have them answer my questions to find immediate answers, I am always satisfied. I will use student evaluation to engage more students in my class and help them develop life skills. I will do this by creating assignments and having students follow through with them. Hopefully it is not just an assignment that will end in the classroom but will be applied through their entire life. Y
· Teaching is important to me because I feel the need to help better students lives. I feel that I can do this by increasing their knowledge and helping them learn life strategies. I feel that I have the ability to teach students and I plan to do so to the best of my ability.
