| THE TASK | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It is Halloween and you have been traveling through the woods at the end of your block when you encounter Esmarelda, the neighborhood witch. Unfortunately,she has been in a sour mood all day and has been turning everyone that she sees into a drop of water. This includes you and your friends!!! It is beginning to rain and now you must go through the stages of The Water Cycle in order to break her spell and return to your natural state. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| THE PROCESS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1.) First you will be assigned to a team of three students. Each student in the team willl have to research a part of the water cylcle and complete the appropriate worksheet. Role #1- - You will be researching Precipitation (Precipitation worksheet) Role #2- - You will be researching Condensation. (Condensation worksheet) Role #3- - You will be researching Evaporation. (Evaporation worksheet) The following links will help you learn about the Water Cycle. KidZone The Water Cycle Condensation Percipitation Evaporation EEK- The Water Cycle 2.) After you have learned about your portion of the Water Cycle you will then have to opportunity to teach your team members about what you have learned. 3.) Finally, when you have all learned about all three parts of the Water Cycle you and your team members will create a poster that you will share with the class. |

| Posters- The group will be evaluated on their posters based on a RUBRIC. Worksheets- Each student will be graded on their completed worksheets. They will be marked on a scale of one to ten based on completion, accuracy and neatness. |

| CONCLUSION | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| By the end of this webquest the students will be aware of and understand the stages of the water cycle. They will have gathered information as well as taught what they have learned to their team members.
