1) It's the standard question: Why did you write this
one?
Well, ok. There's a bit of a story I suppose. It began
when I discovered Invader Zim and that I really really liked it. Then I noticed
that there was a lot of fanfiction for it, and decided to read some. At first
I was a bit disgusted, but after a couple tries I found a really wonderful
author known as ArmAndLeg. Look her up on ff.net if she's still there. Anyway,
I have to backtrack a bit.
When I first started looking for fanfiction I really wondered
what it was people would write about. At first, I found nothing. It was all
total, complete crap. I don't remember the author's names and I don't want
to, but it was really really bad. I even found a few acronyms that I couldn't
figure out (but quickly discovered what they meant even if I didn't know
what they stood for); namely, ZADR, ZAGR, and various other cominations thereof.
(I can't remember if there's a DAGR, but there probably is. Ick.
When I came across my first Zim/Dib (the aforementioned
ZADR [Zim-and-Dib-romance as far as I can tell]) fic, my initial reaction
was, "what the hell?" and then I read it and scratched my head, 'cause it
was one of the terrible ones. And after a while I tried again and found ArmAndLeg,
at least eventually. Anyway that's where that came from. She suggested some
good authors to me and I read, read, and read some more.
Then I decided to write an IZ fic of my own.
2) Oh, so AEHT is going to be ZADR?
Well, that was the original plan. But I don't know if
it will be anymore. I refuse to spoil anything but I can say with certainty
that ZADR will only show up if it fits the plot; I will not twist the plot
to create it.
3) What sick, sick, twisted mind came up with ZADR anyway?
I don't know, but this sick, sick, twisted mind likes
it. It's certainly better than DAGR (and yes, that's incest) or ZAGR where
the G does not stand for Gaz (figure it out on your own). For that
matter I think that ZAGR when G does stand for Gaz is less realistic than
ZADR. Gaz knows about Zim but couldn't care less. Dib's the one who obsesses
about him. You do the math, okay?
4) So what pairings do you support overall?
The one I support the most is none at all. They are canonically
children after all (well except for Zim I suppose, but he's hardly mature).
I like ZADR, but I don't necessasarily find it /realistic/, ok? I also support
Red/Purple, but that one's practically canonical, and I'm not planning on
writing a fic on it.
