Elelome is the daughter of Elidair and Lelisse Elrohir, a high elf cleric and his enchantress bride. Born in the security and beauty of Felwithe, Elelome knew nothing of her dark elven relatives. Her father had disowned his sister, Nysilla, before Elelome's birth. He never mentioned her or her marriage to Xaylan, a dark elf wizard.


But Lelisse and Nysilla had been close, and Elelome's mother often found herself longing for the companionship of her lost friend. She was, however, all too aware of the difficulties Nysilla's choice of husband had created, and spoke as seldom as possible to her daughter of the dark elves, fearing that one day her own daughter might make a similar choice.

This silence persisted until one day a young bard came bearing a letter from HighPass Keep, something utterly unexpected as the Elrohirs knew no one in HighPass.


In it was the news of Nysilla's and Xaylan's death, and that the daughter they had borne had disappeared. It was obvious that the murderers had been a pair of strangers who had recently lodged at Highkeep Hold, but no one knew what had become of them or even who they truly were. It was suspected that one of them was a powerful enchanter, and as such might have taken on any number of illusions to protect his identity.

Crushed with grief Elelome's parents were unable to conceal the knowledge of her estranged aunt any longer. Young Elelome longed to know what had become of her cousin, but her parents suspected the work of dark elves and told their daughter their was nothing to be done. If the child had not been killed then she was most likely being held in Neriak, where there was no chance of rescue.

And even if they could have found her, how could they have housed a half dark elf in Felwithe?

As she grew older Elelome did not forget the story of her cousin. She pledged herself to Tunare as a paladin and vowed that she would fight the forces of darkness across Norrath and that always she would seek out her lost kin.
