Elizabeth Decker

Elizabeth is an independent recording artist with Traveler Records.  In a press release she was billed as Traveler's "leading female singer".  She is the reigning DownEast Country Music Association Female Entertainer of the Year.  She is a highly decorated performer who has won numerous state, divisional, and national titles including Female Vocalist and Entertainer, Gospel Vocalist and Entertainer, as well as NEI Gospel Vocalist, and Country Vocalist and Entertainer.
She has performed in several bands including Ghostriders, Frontier and Country Heat.   She and the Ghostriders, won DownEast Country Music Association's Vocal Group and Traditional Country Band in the 90's.
Elizabeth studied music in Boston.  Along with being a multi-talented musician she is also an accomplished songwriter who has won state and national titles with her country and Gospel songs. She has won nationally in the Starbound Competition, the CMOA, and the CMAA as both a song writer and performer. She has also competed at the regional level in the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown. She is competing in Tennessee with her duet partner for the Country Duet Award as well as solo competitions in the.
Along with her quest to win the Traditional Vocal Duet competition with Bill in Tennessee, she will also be competing in the Traditional Female Vocalist and Entertainer categories.

Bill Giasson

Bill is a third generation musician and a seasoned veteran of the country music scene. He has many titles to his credit including DownEast Country Music Association Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year. In the past two years, he has won DownEast Country Music Association?s Senior Male Vocalist and Entertainer, and won the same titles at the 2003 Northeast Invitational Country Showdown.  He has also been awarded the Pioneer Johnny Utah Award as a deserving traditional country music entertainer.
In the '90's, Bill along with his band, The Rockin' Country Misfitz, won Modern Country Band, Vocal Group and placed in the Traditional Band category in numerous DECMA competitions.  In 1996, he and the band competed at the Showboat Hotel in Las Vegas as part of the Country Music Association of America annual competition.  He has also been a member of the award-winning Silver Wings Band and the leader of the band 'Luke.'  He has also put together a band featuring many older traditional country performers called the "DECMA Mainiacs".
This year, he and duet partner, Elizabeth Decker, won both the DownEast Country Music Association Bluegrass Vocal Duet and the Traditional Country Vocal Duet title and will be representing Maine in both the Northeast Invitational Country Showdown in Rochester, New Hampshire and the North American Country Music Associations International in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  Bill will also be competing in the Gospel Vocalist and Entertainer categories. 

   He is the son of DECMA Pioneer and Maine Country Music Association Hall of Famer  Little Mike"Shorty" Giasson, who played with renowned performers Gene Hooper, Betty Cody, Hal "Lone" Pine, and Dick Curless.
