What Are You Waiting For?

Those who wait for perfect weather will never plant seeds; those who look at every cloud will never harvest crops." - Ecclesiates 11:4 NCV

If we waited for things to be perfect, would anything ever happen? If our skin had to be flawless and every hair in place, would we ever leave the house? If our skills had to be Olympian, would we ever try out for the team? Of course not. We know all this, but we also forget.

The same is true for sharing God with others. Let's not think we have to be spiritually mature begore we start up the Bible study, sinless before we invite someone to church, or have the Bible memorized before we share our testimony. God calls us as we are to stand up, speak out, and share his love. Let's do it.

Lord, thank you for reminding me I don't have to be perfect in order to share you with others. No one else who loves you is perfect either, and that is such a relief. Give me the boldness to see past the clouds, scatter my seeds, and watch you make them grow.
