When minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities. Instead this is what he said:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your
direction and guidance. 

We know Your Word says .. "Woe to those who call evil good" ... but .. that is exactly what we have done."

. . . We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We confess that.

. . . We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it
Pluralism.

. . . We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery

. . . We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare

. . . We have killed our unborn and called it choice

. . . We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable

. . . We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building their
self-esteem

. . . We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition

. . . We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of statement

. . . We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today .. cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us.
To the center of Your will and to openly ask these things in the name
of Your son and Savior Jesus Christ our Lord.

I got this story from an email sent through our mailing list ... e-group to be exact. This prayer has been believed to be sent to the billions of populations of people all over the world. It had been forwarded to lots of emails addresses already. I just thought of sharing it to all of you then just in case you are still not able to read it yet.

When I received this, there was no information where it came from so I could not link back. All I know then is that this might be available to other sites or web pages too. But it is not copyrighted so I placed it here.

Realize the power of prayer. Share this too to anyone you know. I believe in its power. I always bear in mind that this is the best instruments that we can use to communicate with God... our Creator.

It's your turn now to influence your friends and bring them back to God. "I Do Love God." That is the most important thing that I have in my mind right now.
