EWI TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Acid & Richtor
~VS.~
Hurricane & Twister

*****

Joined in Progress

Acid had Twister's neck draped over the bottom rope as he made a tag to Richtor. After making the exchange Acid slingshot himself over the top and came down with a guillotine legdrop across the back of Twister's head as Richtor stepped through the ropes. Richtor grabbed his much bigger opponent by the back of the head and started to pull him up, but before he could get the man to his feet Hurricane stormed into the ring and crushed Richtor in the corner with an avalanche against the turnbuckle! The official jumped in immediately and ushered Hurricane back out to the apron, but the sneak attack gave Twister the opening he needed. After taking a few moments to catch his breath Twister got up to his feet and started taunting Richtor, challenging him to stand up and face him. Twister didn't pay any attention to Acid, who was on the outside and searching for something under the ring. Richtor got up to one knee as Acid climbed back up on the apron with both hands behind his back. Richtor pointed over at Acid, who took a swig from the bottle of whiskey in his right hand, and when Twister turned to look behind him Acid lit a small flame with a lighter and spit the alcohol into it, sending a flash of fire into Twister's face. The flare caught the attention of the ref, who was still tied up with Hurricane, but when he turned around all he saw was Richtor using the middle rope as a springboard and driving Twister down with a jumping DDT. Richtor made the cover and the confused official made the three count. Acid then took another drink from the whiskey bottle as he and Richtor were announced the winners.

EWI TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Ronin & Punisher

Ronin caught Disco Pete with a double handspring elbow in the corner. Pete stumbled out and walked right into the waiting arms of Punisher, who picked the big man up and delivered a Samoan drop. He followed up with a legdrop and went for the cover, but the official was preoccupied with escorting Ronin out of the ring. While Punisher was down in the pinning position Hip Hoppin' Ron came in and delivered a big splash, knocking the wind out of both Punisher and Pete. He rolled Pete over on top of Punisher as the ref turned back around. He counted 1...2...and Punisher shot his shoulder up just before three. Pete moved on his knees over to the corner and tagged in Ron, who came in and pulled Punisher up so he could whip him into the corner. As soon as Punisher hit Ron followed in with an avalanche, crushing Punisher beneath his 350-pound frame. Pete came in and slammed Punisher head first into the turnbuckle, letting him fall to the canvas before he started dancing out in the middle of the ring. He then went over and tried to send Punisher into the corner a second time, but the Guelph, Ontario native reversed it and instead it was Pete who went crashing into the buckle. Pete stumbled out and was floored by a running clothesline by Punisher, who then quickly made the tag to Ronin. The two men then worked on Pete together, nailing him with a double suplex. Ron hurried in to try and stop the double team, but was met with a superkick from Ronin that sent him tumbling through the ropes to the outside. With Pete down and Ron on the floor, both Ronin and Punisher went to the top rope. Ronin dove off first, connecting with a flying legdrop, followed by Punisher who delivered a diving headbutt. Punisher then covered Disco Pete and got the three count to improve his team's record to 2-1.

EWI TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Harbinger & The Destroyer
~VS.~
The Pinnacles of Perfection
(Big Daddy Cash & Suicide King the Hollywood Dream)

*****

As Harbinger and The Destroyer entered the ring, Big Daddy Cash and The Hollywood Dream both attacked them in the ropes. Dream nailed Harbinger with a forearm that sent him out of the ring, then helped Cash whip Destroyer into the turnbuckles. Both men stomped away at Destroyer in the corner until the referee was able to force the Hollywood Dream out of the ring. Cash attempted to whip Destroyer into the ropes, but Destroyer reversed and caught Cash with a big boot on the rebound. Destroyer tagged out to Harbinger, who immediately bounced off the opposite ropes and dropkicked a recovering Cash back to the mat. Harbinger then jumped on Cash and began biting his neck, until breaking it at the ref's count of 4. Harbinger went right back in, this time applying an illegal choke. The referee pulled Harbinger off and warned him, which gave Big Daddy Cash the opening to drive a knee into Harbinger's stomach. Cash dragged Harbinger to his corner and tagged in Suicide King, who kicked Harbinger hard in the gut. The Dream clubbed Harbinger across the back with several punishing forearms, then hoisted him up for a Samoan drop. Before Dream brought Harbinger to the canvas, Harbinger reached over and made a blind tag to Destroyer while on Dream's back. The Hollywood Dream went for a cover on the fallen Harbinger, but the ref waved it off, indicating The Destroyer was the legal man. The two giants traded blows, with Destroyer eventually getting the upper hand; he whipped Suicide King into the ropes and used all his might to lift him up into the air and drop him face-first across the top turnbuckle. Suicide King snapped to the mat awkwardly, giving The Destroyer a golden opportunity to apply the Will Breaker. With Harbinger clawing at Big Daddy Cash on the outside to keep him at bay, Suicide King had no choice but to give it up, as the referee awarded the match to the two Cult members.

With a loud bang and a flash of blue, green, and white pyro, the EWI Collision is on the air. The arena is packed with several thousand rabid wrestling fans, waving signs and banners and cheering as loud as they can throughout the impressive opening display. As the noise dies down and the smoke begins to clear, the faces of play-by-play announcer Blake Underwood and color commentator Mr. Marvellous, who are at ringside to call the night's action, appear on the video screen and televisions across the continent.

Underwood: We are live, we are Elite Wrestling International, and we are about to see a Collision! Happy Holidays everybody I'm Blake Underwood alongside Mr. Marvellous on this special Christmas Eve broadcast where tonight the holiday wishes of three men will come true as they will advance to the final four of the EWI world championship tournament at Gold Rush. Diamond King is already in the final four by virtue of the no contest between Disco Pete and Hip Hoppin' Ron a week ago. Tonight we find out who the rest of that field will be. In our main event Lucas Coleman, possibly the hottest wrestler in EWI at this moment, puts his undefeated streak on the line against Twisted Steel, with the winner of that match advancing to Gold Rush next week. We will also see The Joker's Child battle Seta Soujiro and Psychotic Sam take on Big Daddy Cash to fill out the final four. We're not wasting any time tonight, we're going to go right to our opening match. It's Sam and Cash for a spot at Gold Rush live here tonight at Collision!

EWI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - SECOND ROUND
Psychotic Sam
~VS.~
Big Daddy Cash

*****

The lights in the buidling went out as Sparkle and Shine began to play on the speakers in the arena. A giant spotlight hit the entrance as Big Daddy Cash came out, dressed in his red robe, flexing his arms. Cash slowly strutted to the ring and the crowd booed. Cash made his way into the ring and hopped up on the corner buckles flexing his arms until the music of Mr.Bungle hit the speakers. Crazy little Psychotic Sam began to make his way out with a bandage on his head and laughing in a strange manner. Sam rolled into the ring and did not wait for the bell. He instantly attacked Big Daddy Cash, knocking him down with a jump kick into the corner. Squealing like a pig, Sam grabbed Cash by the back of the hair and slammed his head in to the corner buckle ten times before backing away and stumbling around the ring clutching his face. The bell finally rang to start the match as Cash slowly got to his feet and snuck up on Sam. He grabbed Sam from behind and connected with a back suplex. Cash went for the quick pin, but Sam kicked out after two. Cash was quick to get to his feet and pull Sam up, throwing him into the ropes. Sam came back with a flying bodypress but Big Daddy Cash managed to catch him and turn it into a backbreaker, holding him on his knee for a second before dropping him to the mat and going for the pin. Again Sam kicked out at two Cash didn't relent. He began hitting the smaller guy with lefts and rights before going for a third pin, but yet again Sam kicked out. While the match continued in the ring, the entrance way filled with smoke and the hobos walked out towards the ring with Mr. Beumont carrying Marbels the Cat. Behind them the six foot tall man wearing the Saint-like robe followed, carrying the staff he used on Prime Time to help Beumont defeat Kon Artis. In the ring Cash remained in control, locking Sam in a sleeper hold and slowly working his opponent down to the mat. Sam struggled to try and reach the ropes but couldn't make it, so instead he simply bit Cash on the hand, forcing him to release the hold. Once free Sam ran the ropes, and as Cash got to his feet Sam slid between the bigger man's legs and jumped up on his back, biting Cash in the shoulderblade. After Cash shook him off Sam got right back to his feet and charged, but the Canadian caught Sam and turned him over, setting him in position for a powerbomb. Sam, however, had a counter, taking Cash over with a huracanrana, driving Cash head first into the mat. The former MMP champion got to his feet, but rather than following up on Cash he was distracted by the sight of the hobos and the man dressed as The Saint standing at ringside. The distraction gave Cash the opening he needed, and he nailed Sam with a forearm from behind before lifting him up in a suplex. After Sam had been in the air for a few seconds Cash slammed him down. Soon thereafter, though, Cash was also distracted by the hobos at ringside, as the four men on the outside started pelting the ring with garbage. Cash was furious, and got out of the ring to go after the hobos. He gave chase, not seeing Sam climbing to the top turnbuckle inside the ring. Cash finally got ahold of Beumont, who simply pointed up at Sam, who in turn jumped off with a flying bodypress, knocking Cash to the concrete floor. Beumont fell back into the other hobos while Sam started screaming and choking Cash on the floor. The referee started to administer the count. As he reached four Sam slammed Cash into the steel steps. In a rare display of ring savvy Sam rolled into the ring to break the count before continuing his attack, slamming Cash's leg into the concrete before applying the Psycho's Punishment out on the floor. Cash tapped out immediately, but because the two men were outside the ref simply continued counting the two men out. The man dressed as The Saint then made his way over to Sam and motioned for him to get back in the ring, but all that did was cause him to break the hold in favour of running his fingers up and down Big Daddy Cash's back. Sam finally rolled back into the ring, leaving Cash out on the floor. The three hobos tried to pull Cash up and get him back into the ring, but Cash knocked all three men down with right hands before threatening the man in the robe to stay back. As Cash slid back into the ring Sam ran off the ropes and went for another flying bodypress but again Cash caught him, this time spinning Sam up on his shoulder in position for a running powerslam. Cash started to run but Sam slid down the back, then shoved Cash into the far turnbuckle. Cash stumbled out right into a kick to the midsection that was followed by the Psychotic Smash! Sam rolled Cash over and got the 1...2...3. Once the match was over the man dressed as The Saint led the hobos back to the dressing room, leaving Marbels at ringside. Sam hurried over, grabbed his dead stuffed cat, and gave it a big hug before stumbling to the back.

Mr. Marvellous jumps up from his chair in frustration.

Marvellous: OK I WANT A RECOUNT! HAVE THAT LITTLE FREAK TESTED FOR DRUGS! HE CHEATED! CASH DESERVES A REMATCH!!!

Underwood: Sit back down, will you? Sam didn't cheat. Your brother put up a good fight tonight but face it, he got beat. He got (Underwood starts laughing) outsmarted by Psychotic Sam.

Marvellous doesn't respond verbally, but shoots Underwood a dirty look.

Underwood: Oh don't pout Marvellous, it's not flattering for a man of your age. All is not lost for Big Daddy Cash. He and Suicide King remain near the top of the standings in the tag team championship tournament, and Cash will also have a shot at Gold Rush to become the universal champion in the big triple threat match. The bigger story, however, is that Psychotic Sam has advanced, and will now have a chance to become the first ever EWI world champion live on pay per view on January 3. Who Sam will face that night remains up in the air, but we are about to answer that very question. The Joker's Child is set to face Seta Soujiro, with the winner advancing to face Psychotic Sam in a little over a week's time in San Francisco.

EWI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - SECOND ROUND
The Joker's Child
~VS.~
Seta Soujiro

*****

With The Joker's Child already waiting in the ring, the lights dimmed and "Walking Wounded" by the Tea Party began to play. A shadowy spotlight hit the entrance, and out walked Seta Soujiro, flanked as always by The Destroyer. The Cult members made their way to the ring as Soujiro sprung over the top rope and shed his hooded robe. The bell rang and Soujiro exploded into The Joker's Child, hitting a flurry of punches and chops that sent the clown back into the corner. Not letting up for a moment, Soujiro landed a series of three swift kicks followed by a jumping hook kick, which slumped Joker's Child into the corner. Soujiro quickly picked Joker's Child up and whipped him into the opposite corner and followed closely behing with a back-flip kick, which dropped the clown face-first to the mat. Soujiro quickly floated over and applied a crossface submission hold, but Joker's Child was too close to the ropes and grabbed them, forcing the diminutive Cult member to break the hold. Soujiro got to his feet and dragged Joker's Child to his feet, nailing a swinging neckbreaker. He then quickly applied a cobra clutch, attacking his opponents' already weakened neck. Joker's Child flailed his feet behing him, and eventually managed to get one of his feet under the ropes, forcing Soujiro to once more break the hold, but only after the referee forced the break. Soujiro pulled Joker's Child up and tossed him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a flying headscissors take-down. Soujiro then climbed to the top rope, and waited for Joker's Child to get up. When he did and turned around, Soijiro leapt off the ropes and delivered a flying huracanrana. Soujiro then made the cover but pulled Joker's Child up just before the three count, which resulted in some admonishment from the referee. Soujiro brought Joker's Child to his feet and sent him into the ropes. Joker's Child, attempting to mount a comeback, weakly attempted a clothesline, but Soujiro simply ducked it and countered with a belly-to-back suplex, dropping the clown on his neck. Soujiro wasted no time, and quickly apllied the Walking Wounded. Joker's Child wailed in agony and tapped out. Soujiro held on, however, until the referee forced him to break the hold. Soujiro then got to his feet, his icy smile still in place, and headed towards the back with The Destroyer.

Underwood: Soujiro makes quick work of Joker's Child to advance in the tournament, and it certainly looks like the young man from The Cult has rebounded from his defeat at the hands of Wolverine a week ago. Dominating performances first against Trickster and now against Joker's Child have put him in the final four of the world title tournament, only two matches away from accomplishing what seemed impossible only a few days ago. I must admit, though, I'm surprised Joker's Child, who has held numerous championships throughout his career, didn't present Soujiro with more of a challenge.

Marvellous: See, that is an example of why Joker no longer works for me. What a poor show. If It was me in there I would have been showing of my great talent, kind of like how I beat The Ryno to win the OWA world title. But that's me.

Underwood: You know, I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, in the spirit of the season, you might let one broadcast go by without bringing up the fact that you won the OWA title. I guess that was asking for too much. So now Seta Soujiro will face Psychotic Sam at Gold Rush in one semi-final match while Joker's Child, despite coming out on the losing end tonight, will compete for the universal championship against Big Daddy Cash and one opponent yet to be determined. Coming up next Al takes on the man we have known to this point only as The Bolivian. Sources tonight, however, have identified this man. He has competed in the past as Hot Crimson and simply as Crimson, but now in EWI he wrestled with a new philosophy. His real name is Crimson Lucero, he is managed by another former MMP competitor, Tao Te Ching, and he makes his EWI debut next.

Crimson Lucero
~VS.~
Al

*****

"Freedom" by Jimi Hendrix blared over the loudspeakers as Crimson Lucero walked out with Tao Te Ching waving the flag of the United States of America. The crowd errupted at the sight of the US flag. Tao and Crimson, dressed in military fatigues, shook the hands of all the fans along the ramp. Crimson stood up on the corner post as his manager handed over the mic.

Crimson: "Its about time! Its great being here, in front of thousands of people as millions watch at home. Its great to be here representing the leader of the free world, the United States of America! Here I stand on the corner turnbuckle at Collision and the only thought that comes to my mind is Al. You disgust me and everyone backstage. There is no excuse for using the March of Dimes donation box as a toilet. You are a disgusting, ugly old ape and I am going to make an example of you."

Al's music played and he came down the ramp, walking very carefully as to not fall again. Crimson met him halfway and slammed his head into the guardrail. He then kicked him in the back and pushed him into the steel steps. Crimson pushed him into the ring and followed with a big boot to the midsection of Al preceding a swinging neckbreaker. Crimson stomped away at Al and pulled him up, choking him with the ropes. The ref broke it up, allowing Al to attempt a clothesline, but Crimson ducked and swung Al around for a boot to the stomach and a suplex that slammed Al hard on the canvas. Al grabbed his lower back in pain as Crimson picked him up by the beard and slammed him face first into the turnbuckle. Al staggered out to the center of the ring as Crimson applied the Anaconda. Al gave up immediately and the bell rang, giving Crimson his first win in the EWI. Crimson and Tao celebrated in the middle of the ring, waving the US flag.

Underwood: An impressive win for Crimson Lucero in his first EWI appearance. This should certainly add some intrigue to the Survival Instincts match at Gold Rush for the hardcore championship. Crimson is signed to compete in that match, and knows some of the others in that contest, including The Destroyer, very, very well. As for Al, he continues to struggle here in EWI.

Marvellous: Poor Al. Does this guy get no breaks or what? First Pyschotic Sam, then this freak? Al deserves better than this, Underwood.

Underwood: Well, Al did manage to make it to the ring without tripping over the ramp this week, I guess that's a start. He's going to need more than that, though, if he hopes to make any gains through the EWI ranks. Up next we have a match that will feature an interesting contrast of styles to say the least. The Cult Master, always very serious and, from what I've been told, very angry after his questionable loss at the hands of Twisted Steel last Monday night, takes on a man who, in my opinion, doesn't have a serious bone in his body in Hip Hoppin' Ron. I hope Ron is ready for a fight this week, as this should prove just a bit more challenging than his dance-off fiasco with Disco Pete last week.

The Cult Master

Hip Hoppin' Ron
with Ponch

*****

"One Bad Apple" by the Jackson Five led Hip Hoppin' Ron to the ring, dancing all the while. Although he came dressed in a yellow and blue Hawaiian shirt over blue and red spandex wrestling pants, that didn't last long upon entering the ring. Ron started doing a stripper-style dance, removing his shirt and exposing his enormous hairy gut to the disgusted crowd. As Ron continued to dance, the mood changed drastically as The Cult Master made his way to the ring, accompanied by Seta Soujiro, Harbinger and The Destroyer. As The Cult Master looked on from outside the ring with a disgusted look on his face, Hip Hoppin' Ron grabbed the mic from the ring announcer and began to speak:

Ron: Whoa there amigos, Hip Hoppin' Ron has a question for you. How can you cats follow that dud around like you do? Check him out, man. He's such a square! He's always walkin' around with you guys, but where's all the chicks? If this guy was really god, he'd be settin' his boys up. The Cult Master has no style, and he's got no moves. You should come and join Hip Hoppin' Ron's new church ... of GROOVIN'!!!

As Ron finished his speech and continued to dance, Cult Master slowly entered the ring and blasted him with a clothesline from behind, beginning the match. Cult Master followed up with several boots to the back of the head, as well as a couple of kneedrops to the same area before picking up Ron and hurling him hard into the turnbuckles. As Ron stumbled out of the corner, Cult Master ran off the ropes and delivered a running bulldog. Quickly capitalizing, The Cult Master applied a camel clutch, and as the camera zoomed in, one could see the Cult Master's face seething with rage! Ron was able to make it to the ropes, but Cult Master wrenched back with all of his might, dragging Ron toward the middle of the ring. After what must have seemed like an eternity, Cult Master released the hold, gazing into the crowd with a look of psychotic rage. Cult Master turned back to Hip Hoppin' Ron, who surprised his opponent with a headbutt to the stomach. Ron hit a couple of blows to the face, then finished the sequence with a jumping kneelift that sent Cult Master to the mat. Ron went into a brief dance move before he dropped a big elbow onto The Cult Master, barely getting more than a one count. Both men got to their feet at about the same time, with The Cult Master whipping Ron into the ropes; but Ron reversed, and caught Cult Master with a standing splash, then dropped a big leg, but Cult Master rolled out of the way at the last second. Cult Master quickly got to his feet and pulled up Ron, pounding him with several European uppercuts, then sending him into the ropes. But Hip Hoppin' Ron managed to reverse again, this time sending Cult Master into the turnbuckles. Ron ran in and jumped backwards with a flying ass-splash, but Cult Master hoisted himself up with the top rope and connected with a kneelift to the back of the head. The Cult Master then grabbed Ron by his lowered head and planted him in front of the corner with a piledriver. Looking down at Hip Hoppin' Ron with even more disdain and rage, The Cult Master pulled him to the top rope and delivered the Final Prayer, then floated over for a three count. As the ref's hand struck the mat for a third time, the look of rage on The Cult Master's face suddenly reverted back to his usual expression of pride and arrogance.

Underwood: Looks like Hip Hoppin' Ron bit off a little more than he could chew tonight...although by the site of him, I don't think there's much that man couldn't chew. A dominating performance by The Cult Master, who seems more intent on avenging last week's loss against Twisted Steel than I have ever seen him after a defeat. Speaking of Twisted Steel, he looks to claim the final spot in the world championship tournament final four in tonight's main event. Standing in his way, however, is Lucas Coleman, who is on a three match winning streak and is arguably the hottest wrestler in EWI today. This will be a big challenge for both men, but only one will be able to move on. Let's go back to the ring for our main event!

EWI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - SECOND ROUND
Twisted Steel
with Adam Kogler
~VS.~
Lucas Coleman

*****

"Bang Your Head" led Adam Kogler excitedly down the aisle, who in turn led out Twisted Steel, in his cutoff blue rhinestoned robe, who smiled and pointed towards Lucas Coleman in the ring. Upon entering the ring, Steel climbed to the second turnbuckle, smirked and spread his arms into the air, then hopped back down and removed his robe, handing it to Adam Kogler. Kogler tossed the robe at Malcolm Coleman, who was in the ring with his brother Lucas, prompting the referee to get between the two seconds. This enabled Steel to hit a cheap forearm to Lucas Coleman's back and get the advantage before the ref started the match. Steel continued to hammer away on Coleman with open fists, backing him into the ropes then delivering an irish whip. With Steel taking control early in the match The Cult Master made his way out with a pair of hooded Cult minions. The trio stayed outside the ring throughout the match, simply observing the action inside the ring. As Coleman bounced off the ropes, Steel responded with a standing dropkick. He then got to his feet, backed into the ropes and came off with his trademark somersault legdrop. Not wasting a moment, Steel bounced off the opposite rope and came off with a double elbow to Coleman's chest. Steel then got up and whipped his long hair back, pausing to smile at the crowd. Steel went back to Coleman, pulled him up by the hair, and readied him for a suplex. As Steel hoisted Coleman high into the air, he decided to drop forward and smash Coleman face-first into the canvas. Steel went for a cover and got a two count. Steel then whipped Coleman into the turnbuckle and delivered the Crazy Train. As Coleman staggered out Steel caught him with a kick to the gut and a DDT. Steel backed off and let Coleman get to his feet and make a charge but Steel side-stepped it, sending Coleman into the ropes. As Coleman rebounded Steel took him down with a drop toehold and rolled over into the Dirty Deed half crab. Coleman held on as best as he could but Steel just wrenched back farther on the leg until Coleman had no choice but to tap out. The ref called for the bell and Adam Kogler jumped into the ring, shoving the official out of the way and raising Steel's hand while The Cult Master looked on from the runway. Fade to black.
