With a loud bang and a flash of blue, green, and white pyro, the EWI Collision is on the air. The Collision theme song, Creed's "Bullets", blares over the loudspaker as the arena is packed with several thousand rabid wrestling fans, waving signs and banners and cheering as loud as they can throughout the impressive opening display. As the noise dies down and the smoke begins to clear, the faces of play-by-play announcer Blake Underwood and color commentator Adam Kogler, who are at ringside to call the night's action, appear on the video screen and televisions across the continent.

Underwood: We are live, we are Elite Wrestling International, and we are about to see a Collision! I'm Blake Underwood at ringside with Adam Kogler where tonight, right here live, we've got two huge championship matches.

Kogler: We've got a big one tonight, folks! You see, it all revolves around the EWI's most prominent upstanding citizen, Virus Richards. After defeating the Cult Master for the World Title at Blaze of Glory, Virus is not only defending the EWI World Championship against the gigantic, massive, and just plain scary Daemon Knight, he's doing it one week after being unceremoniously SCREWED out of the Hardcore Title by Knight and his boss, Nick Sinister! And now, Sinister gets a shot at Mikhail Androsovich, the new Hardcore Champ? Something doesn't add up, Underwood!

Underwood: If you ask me, the only man who got screwed last week was Mikhail Androsovich. He was supposed to have a shot at the world title only to have a loophole in the contract take that away and leave him with a hardcore title match for which he had no chance to prepare. Still, he defeated Virus Richards, the winner of King of Kings, albeit with some unwanted interferene from Daemon Knight, and claimed his first championship. Tonight Richards has no room to weasel his way out, he's locked in a world title defense, and I have a feeling that this may just be The Daemon Knight's night. We kick things all of tonight with a showdown between two former world champions as Ronin, a former OWA titleholder takes on The Cult Master, the former EWI champion, who let the world know last week in a big way that The Cult is out to reclaim their spot on top of Elite Wrestling International. Let's go to the ring here at Collision!

The Cult Master
~VS.~
Ronin

*****

The Cult Master stepped through the ropes as his lengthy entrance procession concluded, though noticeably absent from his side this week were Harbinger and The Destroyer, usually permanent fixtures at their leader's side during his matches. The arena then fell dark and a burst of white flame errupted at the entrance, introducing Ronin amidst a loud ovation from the crowd. As Ronin entered the ring he wasted no time going right for his opponent, catching Cult Master off guard with his unusually aggressive start. Ronin caught Cult Master with his trademark ridgehand shot before sending him across the ring and connecting with an impressive dropkick on the rebound. Cult Master, disoriented, staggered quickly to his feet but walked into a quick kick to the midsection followed by a Ronin DDT. Ronin made the cover and got a two count. Luckily for his opponent Cult Master still had enough presence of mind to know things weren't going his way and he hurried to a neutral corner, where he took his time composing himself before moving in and locking up with Ronin center ring. This slowed pace was more to Cult Master's liking and he took control of the engagement by wrestling Ronin into an armbar and then, by pressing his foot down on the back of Ronin's knee, slowly working his opponent down to the canvas. Cult Master then released the armbar, only to deliver a big stomp to the back of his opponent's head. After a second kick, which was received with a round of boos from the Ronin fans in attendance Cult Master slowed the pace even more, applying a modified camel clutch. He then used his free hand to connect with a series of right hands to the temple of Ronin, the nature of the blows almost mocking the Summerside, PEI native and his predicament. The referee warned Cult Master to keep the fist open but Cult Master responded by letting go of the hold and, somewhat surprisingly, backing away and allowing Ronin to get to his feet. Once Ronin was up, though, Cult Master was right back on him, hooking a rear waistlock and taking Ronin over with a German suplex. A second such suplex was followed by a third before Cult Master released his grip, at which point he applied another submission hold, this time a half Boston crab. Cult Master's size advantage put extra pressure down on Ronin's back and leg but never-say-die attitude of Ronin eventually led him to the bottom rope, forcing the referee to call for the break. As Ronin was pulling himself up Cult Master remained on top of him with a series of forearm shot to the back before sending him into the ropes. Running off the near side ropes for momentum Cult Master charged Ronin with a clothesline, but Ronin ducked, stopping dead in his tracks as he did so to connect with a dropkick to the back that sent Cult Master stumbling through the ropes and out to the floor. The move seemed to give Ronin his second wind, and while Cult Master tried to gather himself on the outside Ronin climbed to the top rope. When Cult Master turned Ronin dove off with a flying bodypress, sending both men falling back into the steel safety rail. The crowd responded favorably to the impressive move and Ronin, starting to build momentum, rolled Cult Master back into the ring. He whipped Cult Master hard into a turnbuckle, catching him as he staggered out with a belly to belly suplex. Then, without wasting any time, Ronin ran and, using the second rope as a springboard, connected with an Asai moonsault. He stayed on top of his opponent and hooked the leg, but again scored only a two count before Cult Master got a shoulder up. Ronin slapped the canvas out of frustration but didn't let his disappointment deter him as he pulled Cult Master up and backed him into a corner where he delivered a series of hard chops across the chest. He then whipped Cult Master across the ring into the far corner and charged in after him, this time connecting with a dragonfly splash! Cult Master again stumbled out and Ronin ran off the ropes, but when he attempted to connect with another move Cult Master's awareness kicked in for a split second, allowing him to catch Ronin off the ropes with a sidewalk slam. Both men were down, and the referee began his count. With the sidewalk slam causing further damage to the back that Cult Master had attacked earlier, Ronin was the slower of the two in getting to his feet. This allowed Cult Master to grab him and attempt an Irish whip but Ronin reversed, sending Cult Master to the buckle yet again. This time Ronin charged in and went for a rolling roundkick, but at the last second Cult Master stepped out of the way and Ronin hit the buckle before landing awkwardly on the back of his head. Cult Master stood back and doubled-over catching his breath while Ronin, clutching the back of his head, used the ropes to pull himself up with his left arm. As he got up, though, Cult Master ran in and connected with a thunderous clothesline, crushing Ronin sternum-first against the turnbuckle. The former EWI champion capitalized quickly from there, hoisting Ronin up to the top rope and delivering the Final Prayer. Cult Master then floated over into a cover and hooked the leg for the three count to pick up the victory.

Underwood: What a battle that was. That was one of those matches where all it takes is one big mistake to decide the outcome, it's that close. Both men wrestled close to perfect matches until Ronin went for the big kick in the corner, and it cost him. You can't give a man like The Cult Master an opening like that, because he'll take advantage of it every time.

Kogler: Another fine effort from Ronin, but the former World Champ is on a quest for vengeance after he and his boys lost all of their titles, and Ronin wasn't about to stand in his way! This could be the spark under the ass that The Cult Master needed. As for Ronin, I offered my managerial skills to him on several occasions, right here at this table, and did I ever receive a call? No! Instant karma, I tell you!

Underwood: As usual I think I'll ignore your nonsense, because we've got much more important matters to discuss than who's the latest to ignore your offers of managerial services. The hardcore championship is about to be decided with the new champion, a man that I personally think got the screwjob of a lifetime in his match against Virus Richards last week, Mikhail Androsovich, the man who should be here tonight as the EWI world champion, putting his belt on the line against Nick Sinister. Sinister seems to have taken a very peculiar interest in both this championship and the titleholder over the past week, but so far no one has been able to explain his motives. Then again, if there's one man in this company who won't be phased by Sinister's mind games, I'm sure it will be Dr. Androsovich. It's time for hardcore championship action here at Collision!

EWI HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Champion
Mikhail Androsovich
~VS.~
Challenger
Nick Sinister

*****

The lights went red, and the crimson fog of Sinister filled the arena. "On Rich and Poor" began to play, and out came the challenger, dressed in his usual wrestling attire and with a whip rolled up underneath his arm. Sinister entered the ring, unrolled his whip and cracked it against each of the four top ropes before crouching in the corner and awaiting the champion, a smile on his face. The arena then went black, as the haunting melodies of "Dies Irae" filled the arena. The lights went on, and Mikhail was in the ring, dressed in his new leathers. In his right hand he held a bow with two arrows and in his left hand was a staff, longer than he is tall. On his back was a lonsword in a sheath. He turned to the announcers and began tossing his weapons to the outside. He turned and faced Sinister, unarmed. The two approached each other, but as they moved in to lock up, Mikhail stepped to the side and hit a side heel kick to Sinister's ribs. He then spun behind Sinister, gabbed him in a full nelson, and lifted him into the air, bringing him back down with an atomic drop. Mikhail allowed Sinister to recover, and Sinister reacted with a smile at Androsovich. The two locked up, and Sinister got a kneelift into the champion's gut. Sinister then produced a small wooden club from his tights and crashed it down upon Mikhail's back. While the champ was down, Sinister raked his boot against the champion's head several times before bowing with a smile to the crowd. Nonchalantly, Sinister then stomped on Mikhail as he tried to get up. Sinister went for another kick, but Mikhail dodged it and swept the leg of the challenger, sending him to the mat. The champ quickly got up and dropped a couple of quick knees into the kidneys of Sinister as he rolled on to his stomach in an attempt to get up. He then once more allowed Sinister to stand. The challenger moved in, but the champ grabbed Sinister and whipped him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a spin kick to the nose. Sinister backed into the ropes again, and Mikhail caught him with a back fist once again to the nose. By this time, Sinister was bleeding quite a bit from his nose. This prompted Sinister to roll out of the ring. A camera closeup showed that Sinister did not wince in pain. Instead, his eyes rolled back in his head, and he staggered around with odd, psychotic looks on his face before crumpling in a heap to the floor. Mikhail slowly followed him to the outside. This however, gave the challenger the time he needed to recover. As the champ closed in, Sinister shot up and stuck Mikhail with a chain he had evidently pulled out from under the ring. He then began to whip Mikhail with the chain several times across the back and sides of the champ. Sinister then grabbed Mikhail's bow, cracked it in half across his knee, and began to bludgeon him with the two pieces before rolling Mikhail back into the ring. He then produced a long horizontal surface covered by a red sheet out from under the ring. He put it into the ring and entered himself, pulling the red sheet aside, revealing a bed of shattered glass, bringing a big reaction out of the fans! He then applied an Iron Claw in a submission attempt, but Mikhail refused to submit. Sinister moved in, but Mikhail shot several punches to Sinister's gut before hitting a DDT. The two men lay in the center of the ring each trying to get up first. The two got up at the same time, and Mikhail mounted an offensive flurry, hitting several palm thrusts into Sinister's hurt nose. Out of instinct, Sinister grabbed at Mikhail and got him into position to suplex the champ into the bed of glass. He was too weak, however, and Mikhail reversed the hold, spun around, and suplexed Sinister into the glass! The crowd collectively shuddered at this ghastly move. Mikhail went for the pin, but Sinister kicked out after a two and a half count. Mikhail pulled Sinister up, but Sinister got in a low blow and began biting the forehead of Mikhail, a-la Cult member Harbinger. Mikhail began to bleed from that spot, and staggered back in an attempt to recover. Sinister, bleeding from all sorts of places on his body, slowly rolled out of the ring and produced another surface, which he put into the ring. He pulled back the sheet, revealing a bed of nails! Mikhail had recovered, however, and began raining a flurry of punches into Sinister. Sinister, however, had a plan. Staggering back, Sinister produced a scalpel from his boot and as Mikhail moved in he slashed him across the face! Mikhail staggered back in shock and Sinister grabbed him, powerbombing him into the glass bed! He then put the bed of nails on top of Mikhail, sandwiching him between the two beds. Sinister then went to the top rope and hit a double foot stomp onto the inverted bed!!! Sinister then pushed the bed of nails aside, collapsed on top of Androsovich, and scored the three count for the win! The new hardcore champion accepted his title and then went over to Androsovovich, rubbing his finger upon the gash in the PhD's forehead, wiping the blood on the title before leaving to the back.

Kogler: What a bloodbath! I don't know if we've seen such a gruesome, hard-fought match anywhere else in EWI history! The referee may have raised the arm of Sinister, but there aren't going to be any winners when both men wake up tomorrow! Now, before we get to our main event, would you be a dear and see if there's any blood stains on the front of the table? The Greatest Mind in Wrestling must adhere to a certain degree of professionalism, you know.

Underwood: I think we're OK, but I wouldn't want to be either Virus Richards or The Daemon Knight having to follow that one up. They may clear away the broken glass, the wooden splinters, and the other remnants of this match, but the blood stains on the canvas certainly provide an ominous setting for tonight's main event. Last week Virus Richards was able to weasel his way out of a world title defense, and as a result managed to save his title for another week. But that could all end tonight. We saw last week that Daemon Knight hasn't forgotten the treachery that caused him to be eliminated from King of Kings, and I don't know, I just have a feeling that this could be the big man's night. If you ask me, Virus Richards is in serious trouble as we head into our main event.

EWI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Champion
Virus Richards
with Leroy & Bruno
~VS.~
Challenger
EWI Tag Team Champion
The Daemon Knight
with Page

*****

Candles lined the runway as The Daemon Knight, one half of the EWI tag team champions along with Lance Stanton, made his way to the ring along with Page. As the pair arrived at ringside the candles errupted in a violet flame, and as he stepped over the top rope into the ring Knight handed his tag title belt down to Page. Creed's "Ode" then hit the speakers as Virus Richards, the EWI world champion, made his way to the ring, accompanied as usual by his two well-dressed African-American henchemen Leroy and Bruno. Virus handed his world belt down to Bruno and cautiously got in the ring, but as he did so he turned back and said something to Leroy while pointing at his opponent. Acting quickly, Leroy hopped up on the apron, shouting at the referee that Daemon Knight had a foreign object in his hand. Leroy tried to get in the ring but the ref held him back, and while this was going on Virus charged his opponent, only to be knocked flat on his back with a hard forearm smash. The ref finally got Leroy back down to the floor and called for the bell to begin the match as the challenger yanked the champion to his feet by his hair. He then grabbed Virus around the throat and fired him back into the corner where he delivered a series of sharp uppercuts to the throat of the world champion, causing him to grab his neck as he gasped for air. Daemon Knight, though, looked to keep his opponent winded and pressed his boot up against the world champ's throat in a blatant chokehold. The ref stepped in and began a count and Knight broke just before a disqualification could be called. While the referee was admonishing Knight for his flagrant rulebreaking Bruno reached into the ring and pulled Virus out to the floor, enabling the champ to get some distance between himself and his opponent. Leroy jumped up on the apron and started yelling at the referee, claiming that not only was Knight choking Richards but also pulling his hair, but received a hard right hand from the challenger for his efforts, sending him back down to the floor. The distraction, though, served it's purpose, as it allowed Virus to circle the ring and slide in the other side and catch Daemon Knight with a chop block to the back of the leg, dropping the big man down to one knee. A series of stomps drove Knight all the way down to the canvas, and once there Virus used the second rope as a springboard to connect with a spinning legdrop across the back of the head. Rather than go for a cover, though, Virus applied a rear chinlock, stretching out along the canvas to put extra pressure on his opponent. The ref got down to make sure Virus' arm didn't slip down into a chokehold, and when he did so Richards took advantage of the positioning and reached back to put his feet on the middle ropes for added leverage. He was able to get away with this for a few moments but the ref soon saw him and ordered a break. The champ had no choice but to comply, but not long after he went back to the same hold. The ref checked right away to make sure Virus' feet weren't on the ropes, and when he saw they were not he got down to see if Knight wanted to give it up. That didn't stop Leroy from acting on the outside, grabbing Virus' legs and pulling to apply more pressure on the hold. The official was oblivious to what was going on, but the same could not be said for Lance Stanton, who came running to the ring wearing a black and gold Shirai Ryu mask. Stanton slid into the ring and, using the top rope as a springboard, dove onto Leroy and Bruno with a somersault plancha, drawing a surprising cheer from the crowd. The official leaned through the ropes and shouted at Stanton to get away from the ring while Daemon Knight fought back to his feet, but the challenger's recovery was stopped short by a knee to the groin from the champion. A Russian leg sweep followed and Virus made a cover, getting a two count before Daemon Knight powered out, pressing Virus up and through the middle ropes to the floor. The champ hurried back into the ring and hammered Daemon Knight with a series of punches, but when he ran off the ropes and attempted a flying bodypress he was caught in mid air and driven down to the canvas with a crushing spinebuster. Daemon Knight then climbed to the top rope, and as Virus got to his feet Knight dove off and connected with an impressive flying clothesline. As the match continued, Motley Crue's "Shout at the Devil" played through the arena and two masked men, presumably the two men who attacked the tag team champions the previous week, made their way down the aisle with a boquet of flowers. Before they could get to ringside, however, they were stopped from behind by Nick Sinister! Sinister slammed the smaller man across the back of the head with a chain, and when the big man turned the new hardcore champion shattered a wine glass across his face. The attention of the crowd turned to the aisle as Sinister removed the men's masks to reveal...two unrecognizable, unshaven men, who hardly appeared to be wrestlers. Back in the ring Daemon Knight continued his attack, sending Virus into the ropes and delivering a chokeslam as he caught him. Just then, the scene on the giant video screen in the arena shifted to the parking lot, near where Knight's red sports sedan was parked. Two men in masks, one much taller than the other as was the case the previous week stood by it, and the smaller man immediately doused it in gasoline. From a distance the bigger man tossed a lit match onto the car, which instantly burst into a huge flame. The smaller masked man then produced two sticks with hotdogs on them and held them out towards the explosion campfire style as the scene cut out. In the arena, all eyes were diverted towards the happenings on the screen. All eyes, that is, except for those of the reigning EWI world champion. While his opponent was distracted Virus reached out to Bruno, who passed him a roll of silver dollars. When Daemon Knight reached down to pull his opponent up Virus swung and connected with a hard right hand across the butt of the jaw, staggering Knight back. A second loaded punch knocked the big man out cold, leaving him immobile on the canvas. Virus stuffed the evidence into his tights before the ref turned around, and once the official was watching again the champion, feigning that he was still more hurt than he really was, slowly grabbed Knight's legs and turned him over in the Honest Man's Honest Buck. The official checked on Knight, who had been rendered unconscious from the loaded punches, and when he couldn't answer the ref called for the bell. Virus Richards was announced the winner, and Leroy and Bruno wasted no time in pulling their boss out of the ring. Bruno helped Virus over the safety rail and into the crowd, and they were soon joined by Leroy who had gone to retrieve the world title belt. The trio made their escape through the crowd as the scene faded to black.
