With a loud bang and a flash of blue, green, and white pyro, the EWI Collision is on the air. The Collision theme song, Creed's "Bullets", blares over the loudspaker as the arena is packed with several thousand rabid wrestling fans, waving signs and banners and cheering as loud as they can throughout the impressive opening display. As the noise dies down and the smoke begins to clear, the faces of play-by-play announcer Blake Underwood and color commentator Adam Kogler, who are at ringside to call the night's action, appear on the video screen and televisions across the continent.

Underwood: We are live, we are Elite Wreslting International, and we are about to see a Collision! Hello again everybody I'm Blake Underwood alongside Adam Kogler for the first time in several weeks as EWI television returns after a brief hiatus, and folks I've gotta say we're coming back with a bang! Blaze of Glory was a huge event, everything we expected and more...although, I can think of one disappointment that came out of that event...

Kogler: Did you miss me, Underwood? I know you missed me! But don't worry, you, and all the fans of EWI knew that I would NEVER lose to a slob like Mr. Marvellous and let him plant his fat ass in my chair! Despite some interference from my failure of a former protege, I still managed to expertly outwrestle Marv and get the win! But enough about that, we've got some major action coming our way in our first broadcast since the monumental Blaze Of Glory, don't we?

Underwood: That's right we do; three championship matches on tap here tonight all culminating in the first title defense by the new EWI world champion Virus Richards as he takes on Mikhail Androsovich. We will see a return match from Blaze of Glory as The Prophet makes his first defense of the universal title against the former champion Benjamin Childs and "Black Jack" McBain in a triple threat match. We will see the returns to action of Twisted Steel, Seta Soujiro, and Ronin, the in-ring debut of the advocate Jacob Darden, but we're kicking everything off with a tag team championship match. Despite not faring well in the King of Kings match, Lance Stanton and The Daemon Knight are still the champs coming out of Blaze of Glory, and tonight they defend once again against the team of Charles Childs and Jaden in our opening match here at Collision!

As the challengers Charles Childs and Jaden conferred in their corner awaiting their opponents, "Kashmir" struck the loudspeakers to introduce the EWI tag team champions. Lance Stanton led the way down carrying his belt proudly over his shoulder with Daemon Knight following at a distance, dragging his half of the championship down the aisle. The champs approached the ring but were stopped when a ring attendant approached Stanton and presented him with a gift box. Stanton opened the box and found inside a fire extinguisher, which he indifferently dropped to the ground before joining his tag team partner in the ring. The arrogant Stanton scoffed at his two opponents and held up two fingers, indicating that this would be the second time Childs and Jaden would fall to the Crimson Guild, but as he turned to say something to Daemon Knight Childs and Jaden decided to get the jump on their adversaries and attacked the champs before the bell. A dropkick from Childs staggered Knight back into the turnbuckle while Jaden hammered the startled Stanton and sent him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a powerslam. The ref quickly called for the bell to get things officially underway, and while he tried to get Knight and Childs to go to their respective corners Jaden worked on Stanton. A belly to back suplex drove the back of Stanton's head into the canvas, which Jaden followed quickly with a pair of running elbowdrops. The goal of the challengers was clearly to keep Stanton in the ring and avoid Daemon Knight, who was by far the biggest man in the match. Jaden applied a modified Boston crab and positioned himself so that Stanton was facing the middle of the ring, unable to reach the ropes. He was, however, able to reach back and grab Jaden's ankle and trip the man, forcing the hold to be broken. Jaden fell forward and hit face first on the middle turnbuckle, but unfortunately for Stanton Jaden fell into his own corner. He made the tag to Charles Childs who stopped Stanton before he could get to his corner with a forearm to the back of the head. A pair of chops across the chest backed Stanton into the ropes and Childs attempted an Irish whip, which was reversed with Stanton sending Childs across the ring. Stanton then lept into the air and connected with a picture perfect dropkick to the face of Childs, giving himself the opening he sorely needed. He crawled over to his corner and tagged in Daemon Knight, who rather than coming into the ring climbed to the top turnbuckle. As Childs got to his feet Knight came off the top with a flying clothesline, knocking the first challenger across the ring. Jaden rushed into the ring but was caught in a powerslam by the much larger Daemon Knight, who quickly tagged Stanton back in. Before leaving, however, Knight grabbed Childs and delivered a chokeslam. The referee grabbed Knight by the arm and tried to usher him out of the ring, but before he could get the big man out two men dressed in overalls and black leather masks emerged from the crowd and rushed to the ring.. The larger of the two men nailed Knight with a clothesline from behind, sending him over the top rope to the floor, while the other, about six inches shorter than his partner, spun Stanton around and shattered a whiskey bottle over his head! The referee began waving frantically for the bell, giving the match to the Crimson Guild via disqualification, but once his decision was made he was quickly chased away by the two intruders. The larger man then produced a roll of duct tape from his overalls and tossed it to his partner, who used it to tape Lance Stanton's hands behind his back. A group of referees came running down to the ring as Stanton, after being hit with the glass bottle, was busted open and screaming in pain, but the two masked men kept any assistance at bay. The smaller man then grabbed Stanton by the hair and held him up, allowing the big man to shoot a fireball right into Stanton's face! Stanton dropped to the canvas and rolled over on his face, kicking his face in obvious pain. By this time security rushed out to try and apprehend the two intruders, who managed to make their way back out through the crowd from where they came before they could be caught.

Kogler: Wow! That match was a train wreck if I ever saw one, but the real story here might be what happened in the aftermath!

Underwood: The Crimson Guild are still tag team champions, but who were those two men that attacked Lance Stanton? That was one of the most deliberate, brutal assaults I have ever seen in all my time in this business. I'm not a big fan of Lance Stanton, but no one deserves to be subjected to that kind of treatment. Hopefully we can get word on his condition before we go off the air tonight. But while Stanton receives treatment backstage we have to go on with our next encounter. We still haven't heard much about the wrestling ability of Jacob Darden, the controversial attorney who recently joined the ranks of Elite Wrestling International, but I have a feeling we'll find out a lot about him tonight as he takes on the returning Seta Soujiro in singles competition.

Seta Soujiro

Jacob Darden

*****

After Jacob Darden had made his entrance, "Papercut" by Linkin Park began to play as the video screen revealed black boots walking through the backstage area, then rising to a blinding white light as Seta Soujiro emerged from the back. The crowd recognized the Cult prodigy instantly and a fierce chorus of boos accompanied Soujiro to the ring. Sliding under the bottom rope, Soujiro wasted no time going to work on Darden as the bell sounded, catching him with a quick double leg take down and then dropping a series of fierce elbows down across his knee several times. Soujiro pulled the attorney to his feet, sending him hard into the corner and following in with a backflip kick. Soujiro wasted no time in snapping on an anklelock, forcing Darden to scream in pain as he grabbed for the lower ropes. Soujiro broke the hold and backed off once Darden grabbed the bottom rope, crouching like an animal stalking his prey. As Darden struggled to his feet, Soujiro took him back down with a scissors kick to the knee, then speedily wrenched the leg up into a half Boston crab. Soujiro didn't wait for the break this time, as he released the hold and dragged Darden to his feet. Seta whipped Jacob Darden into the corner, then wrapped over into a Tarantula until the referee counted to 4. Darden was pulled up one more time, then sent into the ropes and felled by a dropkick to the leg. Soujiro again locked in a half crab, this time in the center of the ring, leaving Darden no choice but to tap out, as the referee awarded Seta Soujiro the submission win in his first match back.

Underwood: An impressive victory for Seta Soujiro here tonight at Collision, and for Darden, I'd say maybe it's time to go back to the drawing board.

Kogler: A returning Cult member taking on a rookie lawyer, and although I like the style of this Darden guy, he was clearly no match for the more experienced Soujiro. A big win for Seta in his first match back! And speaking of first matches back, we've got Ronin taking on that lousy, good-for-nothing, piece of-

Underwood: Hey, I wonder if Twisted Steel would be interested in joining us for commentary after the match. He certainly improved the product after taking over for a certain someone at Blaze of Glory.

Twisted Steel

*****

"Bang Your Head" blasted into the arena, as the fans came alive for the return of the first EWI world champion. Moments later, Twisted Steel made his way into the arena, sporting a brand new silver cutoff robe, adorned with small purple streamers on the shoulders and "Steel" written across the back in ruby red lettering. Upon entering the ring, Steel climbed to the second turnbuckle and spread his arms across his chest, then removed his robe and stepped down, awaiting his opponent. The arena hushed as "Resurrection" by Moist began to play, bringing with it a dimming of the lights. The entranceway erupted in a mass of white flame, and out from it strode Ronin, his white trenchcoat billowing out behind him. He walked calmly to the ring apron and hopped onto it, springboarding over the top rope. With Kachiko nowhere in sight, Ronin shed his coat and shirt, stepping up to Steel in the middle of the ring. The two men exchanged words as the bell signaled the beginning of the match. They locked up, with the larger Steel getting the advantage with a headlock; Ronin pushed off as Steel flew into the ropes. Steel came off with a clothesline, Ronin ducked, then caught Steel with his trademark ridgehand, drawing cheers from his longtime fans. Steel was Irish whipped into the ropes, he reversed, then caught Ronin with a sidewalk slam that got a little more than a one count. Twisted Steel wrenched the arm of Ronin, dragging him to his feet, then buried a series of elbows into his back. Grabbing Ronin by the head, Steel ran and bulldogged Ronin into the mat, then wiped some sweat off his brow and smugly flung it into the crowd, showing that his time off had no effect on his cockiness. Steel leaned back into the ropes and came off with a somersault legdrop, but Ronin astutely rolled out of the way. Ronin sprung up to his feet and pulled Steel up, then backed him into the corner with a series of sharp chops. Once there, Ronin whipped Steel into the corner and followed him in with a dragonfly splash! As Steel staggered out of the corner, Ronin jumped to the second turnbuckle and delivered a flying wheel kick that sent Steel through the ropes to the outside. Ronin hesitated only a second before running off the opposite ropes and nailing a slingshot plancha onto the stunned Steel. Ronin then rolled Steel back into the ring and hopped to the top rope, coming off with a stunning moonsault, but crashing right into Twisted Steel's elevated knees. Both men took a moment to recover, getting to their feet at approximately the same time. Ronin took the initiative by whipping Steel toward the turnbuckles again, but Steel reversed and followed Ronin in with a patented Crazy Train dropkick. Steel locked in a full nelson in preparation for his finisher, but Ronin escaped at the last second with a jawbreaker. After a thrust kick to Steel's gut, Ronin ran off the ropes and came hard at Steel, who managed to catch his opponent and suplex him up and over onto and off the top rope, then back down to the canvas face-first! Twisted Steel went for the pin and scored the three, giving him the duke in a heated matchup.

Underwood: Ronin gave it all he had in there tonight, but not enough to defeat the former world champion. By the way, I was talking to Twisted Steel earlier tonight backstage and he told me that that move you just saw, the suplex off the top rope, is called the Glam Jam. Pretty impressive move from where I sit.

Kogler: Oh, is that right? Are you best buddies with Twisted Steel now, Underwood? Well that's fine and dandy, you just remember that I'm still twice the broadcast journalist you are! Steel can give his moves all the cute nicknames he wants, because the day will come when he has to deal with the Greatest Mind in Wrestling once again! And when that day comes, oh ho, you'd better believe he's going to regret the day he crossed Adam Kogler!

Underwood: At least now he doesn't have to worry about being the next Rukuss. I think you showed us all with that one just how much the Greatest Mind in Wrestling really matters. Didn't you learn your lesson at Blaze of Glory.

The look on Kogler's face gives Underwood the answer he was expecting.

Underwood: Nevermind. Speaking of Blaze of Glory, one of the matches that got rave reviews from that show was the triple threat match for the universal championship that propelled The Prophet not only to the universal championship but very nearly to the world championship as well. A lot of people said that match was a toss-up and could have gone any one of three ways, and that Prophet may have been lucky to come out on top. Well, tonight we're going to see those same three men go at it one more time. This time it's The Prophet who goes in as champion, with both Benjamin Childs and "Black Jack" McBain gunning for the gold!

"Black Jack" McBain

*****

The enigmatic Prophet was the first to make his entrance, his universal championship in tow. "Another One Bites The Dust" heralded the arrival of the gritty Black Jack McBain, one of two challengers to Prophet's title. The last to enter was Benjamin Childs, who arrived to an eerie silence and accompanied by Zane. As soon as Childs entered the ring and the bell rang, he went straight for Prophet, cracking the champion's chest with a flurry of chops, then whipping him into the ropes and crashing him to the mat with a clothesline. Prophet shot back to his feet, so Benjamin gave him another whip into the ropes, Prophet ducked a clothesline, but fell victim to his own momentum as McBain tossed him out of the ring with a judo throw, sending him all the way into the steel barricade. This left McBain and Childs in the ring, and Childs wasted no time in attempting to grab his smaller opponent, but McBain evaded and hit a spinning roundhouse kick, which staggered Childs. Black Jack hit some punches and pulled down Childs for a DDT, but was reversed as Childs lifted the man up and brought him back down with a spinebuster. Childs never let up, dragging McBain up and shooting him into the corner, then running in with a knee. Childs repeatedly buried the knee into Black Jack's ribs. Benjamin brought McBain over with a snap suplex, then dropped an elbow and went for a cover, getting a two count. Childs took McBain back to a standing position, and Black Jack desperately fought back with some hard kidney punches, but was soon overpowered with a kick to the stomach, followed by a devastating powerbomb from the former champ. Childs went for the cover, and got two and a half before Black Jack shot up a shoulder. Benjamin yanked Black Jack up by the arm, and whipped him into the ropes, and the same time Prophet was climbing back into the ring. The resulting collision sent McBain into the corner and Prophet down on the apron. In an impressive display of strength, Childs was able to suplex Prophet back into the ring. Childs immediately climbed to the top turnbuckle, and came crashing down upon The Prophet with a guillotine legdrop! The impact sent Benjamin several feet across the ring, and he failed to notice Black Jack McBain coming off the opposite turnbuckles with a diving headbutt! McBain went for the cover and scored the three count before Childs could break it up, making Black Jack McBain the new EWI universal champion. The Prophet slowly rolled from the ring, as McBain exited in the opposite direction. While The Prophet and McBain made their ways to the back, each man was grabbed forcefully by a hand from the crowd, at either end of the aisle, and then hit with a brass knuckle-laden fist, knocking both men flat on their backs! Harbinger and The Destroyer emerged from the audience as the culprits, and The Cult Master made his way down the aisleway, directing them to send the new and former universal champions back to the ring. The former tag team champions complied, Harbinger dragging McBain and The Destroyer dragging The Prophet. Once in the ring, The Cult Master directed them towards opposite corners, where they handcuffed the two men to the turnbuckles, crucifix-style. The Destroyer and Harbinger then laid into the men with their loaded fists, the blood that ran down their faces only seeming to encourage them further. They continued to pound away viciously as Childs stood beside The Cult Master, who produced a microphone. After signaling to his followers to stop the beatings, the leader of The Cult began to speak:

Cult Master: "Did you think that we would go away??? Did you think that The Cult would simply disappear??? Nay, I tell thee mortals, The Cult remains! The hunted have now once more become the hunters, and 'tis time that The Cult took action against it's enemies!"

The Cult Master moved over to McBain and knelt down, face-to-face with the detective. He grabbed the universal champion's face with his hand, and spoke inches from his face:

Cult Master: "McBain, the detective! 'Tis time you ceased your investigation into my Enforcer's affairs. And send the message to your evil Captain that he had better cease his meddling into Benjamin's life as well. Consider this a warning! So scuttle back to your precious Captain and give him my message! Benjamin......."

The Cult Master moved away as Childs began to repeatedly kick McBain in the head. Cult Master then made his way towards The Prophet, stopping halfway to deliver an angry sneer at the man, who stared angrily back at him. The Cult Master dropped to one knee as he had done with McBain, stared into The Prophet's enraged, yellow eyes, and began to slap him across the face repeatedly. He then grabbed Prophet's face and spoke to him in much the same manner he did McBain:

Cult Master: "And YOU!!! You who cost me my World Championship Grail!!! These slaps to your hideous face are long overdue!!!"

The Cult Master began to slap him several more times before continuing his speech:

Cult Master: "I have waited too long to address you, false Prophet, and your evil ways. And it cost me much. But no more! You wished for counsel with The Cult Master, and now you have EARNED it!!! You have my attention, and you have my ire! Your prophecies of our battle were self-fulfilling, but you shall regret them dearly now that they have come true. Your time is at hand, and your career is now in my hands!!!"

The Cult Master stood up and began kicking The Prophet in the head as several EWI officials rushed to ringside to stop the beatings. Just as they rushed into the ring, however, the lights went out. Almost instantly, they came on again, but The Cult was gone! The officials looked around, bewildered, and then took to the task of releasing the two beaten men.

Underwood: What the hell do you call that?! It looks like The Cult is back and back in a big way!

Kogler: Carange reigns here on Collision! Blackjack McBain pinned The Prophet to score his first EWI singles gold, snatching victory from the hands of Benjamin Childs. But it was Benji who came out on top in my book; look at the number The Cult did on his two opponents! I guess The Cult Master isn't taking his World Title loss to Virus Richards laying down!

Underwood: That's right, I'd be remiss if I didn't congratulate Jack McBain on his big win here tonight, capturing the universal championship which I believe is not only his first singles title in EWI but the first singles championship of his career! You have to tip your hat to all three men who again put forward a hard fought battle which again yields a new universal champion. But the actions of The Cult, I'm sure, will not be taken lying down. We could be on the verge of an all out war here in EWI. And folks, it's now time for the big one. The EWI world title is about to be decided as the new champion, Virus Richards, makes his first defense since winning the King of Kings match at Blaze of Glory. This is the biggest match of Mikhail Androsovich's short career, let's see what he can do with it tonight, with the biggest prize in EWI at stake.

The arena went black, and the heavy tones of "Dies Irae" sounded. The music played for an unusually long time before the lights came on, revealing Mikhail in the ring wearing a soft leather vest and pants with sandals strapped to tops of his calves. With an almost evil-looking smile on his face Mikhail looked up the aisle awaiting his opponent. "Ode" then played over the sound system, but was quickly cut off as Virus Richards, with the EWI world and hardcore championships over either shoulder and his henchemen Leroy and Bruno at his side, made his way towards the ring with a microphone:

Virus: Now hold on just a minute...what did I just hear? Did I hear an announcement that this match was for the EWI world championship? Seems to me that somebody's mistaken. Comrade Mikhail said he wanted a shot at my championship, and I agreed. But never did I specify that he was going to receive a shot at the WORLD championship. If you take a look at the rankings Doc, you'll see that there are a number of men in this company more deserving of a world title match than you are. Now I've always said that I'd be a fighting champion, but the last thing I want to be is the type of champion that only gives title shots to people who haven't earned them and don't deserve them. No Joker's Ranking System horseshit for me, I'll only be defending this world title against the best this promotion has to offer. Sorry doc, but it's only fair. But, because I am a man of my word, I'm still willing to give you a shot at the hardcore championship. Andrei, this one's for you, buddy!

Virus set his two title belts down on the apron and slid into the ring, but even before he could get to his feet Mikhail was on him, displaying a ferocity not often seen from the doctor. Mikhail delivered a spinning back kick that caught Virus in the chest and backed him into the ropes, which he followed with a similar kick this time to the knee of the defending champion. Virus dropped to one knee as a result of the blow, allowing Mikhail to deliver a hard chop to the back of the neck, sending Richards flat to the canvas. The crowd started getting behind Mikhail as he continued to work over the hated world/hardcore champion, and the Russian doctor responded by pulling Richards up and delivering a hard atomic drop that sent Virus to the mat again. A pair of elbowdrops to the back of the neck followed, but rather than going for a cover Mikhail rose to his feet amidst a loud show of approval from the crowd and backed up to the ropes where he waited for Virus to get to his feet. Richards was slow in getting up, obviously unprepared for such a fast-paced offensive attack from the challenger. As he did so Mikhail came at him with a spinning jump kick aimed at the head, but Virus sidestepped and stopped Mikhail with a thumb to the eyes. A quick kick to the midsection was followed by a Virus DDT, and Mikhail's attack grinded to a halt. The crowd suddenly went quiet as Richards took over, taking a moment to catch his breath before getting to his feet and stomping his challenger across his back. Before Mikhail could get to his feet Virus ran the ropes and, using the second rope for a springboard, connected with a spinning legdrop across the back of the challenger's head. Rolling Mikhail over, Virus scored a two count before Androsovich got a shoulder up. The champion, though, appeared as if he didn't expect to win the match on that exchange as he got up without hesitation, pulled Mikhail to his feet, and whipped his opponent to the turnbuckle. The challenger stood slumped in the corner, and after Virus berated him about his supposed neglect of his son Andrei the champ whipped Mikhail across the ring into the opposite corner and followed in with a flying splash against the buckle. Richards stepped aside and Mikhail fell to the canvas, allowing Virus to climb to the top rope. He came off with a frog splash, but at the last second Mikhail rolled out of the way, causing Virus to hit nothing but canvas. As both men lay face down in the ring, Nick Sinister made his way down to the ring, dressed in a three-piece charcoal black suit with a blood-red tie, carrying a rolled up whip under his arm. The monstrous Daemon Knight followed close behind, presumably to ensure that no one tried a sneak attack on the leader of the Crimson Guild. Virus was to his feet first, but as he started to pull Androsovich up he spotted Sinister and Knight out of the corner of his eye. Dropping Mikhail he turned and shouted over to Leroy and Bruno to keep the two men away from the ring. This gave Mikhail the opening he needed, and by the time Virus turned around he was met with a heel kick to the knee and a brainbuster from his re-energized challenger. A pair of elbowdrops followed, and the crowd came alive again behind Mikhail. Mikhail pulled Virus up and set him in position for a DDT but Virus countered, driving Mikhail back into the ropes with enough force that both men tumbled through the middle ropes and out to the floor, landing right on top of Bruno, one of Virus' well-dressed associates. Leroy quickly intervened, rolling Virus back into the ring before pulling Mikhail up and whipping him into the ring post. The black man then reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles, but before he could lay into the doctor Mikhail shot forward and used a drop toehold to drive Leroy face first into the steel ring steps. By this point Virus had gotten to his feet and turned to look for his opponent, but when he did so he found not Mikhail Androsovich looking back at him but rather The Daemon Knight, who climbed into the ring while the cameras were focused on Androsovich and Leroy on the outisde. Before Virus could react Knight reached over and snatched him by the throat. He lifted Virus in the air for a chokeslam but a kick to the groin saved the champion, who dropped to his feet on the canvas and nailed the dazed Daemon Knight with a superkick that sent the big man tumbling through the ropes to the floor. Before Virus could respond, though, he was caught with a heel kick to the back of the head from Androsovich, who then wasted no time in applying the Russian Bow! The ref hurried down to see if Virus wanted to submit, and after a few moments the champion nodded his head "yes". The bell sounded, and Mikhail Androsovich was awarded the EWI hardcore championship! Mikhail held onto the hold for an extra couple of seconds before letting go, and as he released he was presented with his first wrestling championship belt. When Mikhail turned he saw Nick Sinister, now standing at ringside, alongside Daemon Knight staring up at him. Sinister cracked the whip that he was carrying across the top rope before heading back to the dressing room. The scene faded to black as a perplexed Androsovich stood victorious in the ring soaking in the cheers of the crowd.
