With a loud bang and a flash of blue, green, and white pyro, the EWI Collision is on the air. The Collision theme song, Creed's "Bullets", blares over the loudspaker as the arena is packed with several thousand rabid wrestling fans, waving signs and banners and cheering as loud as they can throughout the impressive opening display. As the noise dies down and the smoke begins to clear, the faces of play-by-play announcer Blake Underwood and color commentator Adam Kogler, who are at ringside to call the night's action, appear on the video screen and televisions across the continent.
Underwood: We are live, we are Elite Wreslting International, and we are about to see a Collision! Hello again everybody I'm Blake Underwood alongside Adam Kogler for the first time in several weeks as EWI television returns after a brief hiatus, and folks I've gotta say we're coming back with a bang! Blaze of Glory was a huge event, everything we expected and more...although, I can think of one disappointment that came out of that event...
Kogler: Did you miss me, Underwood? I know you missed me! But don't worry, you, and all the fans of EWI knew that I would NEVER lose to a slob like Mr. Marvellous and let him plant his fat ass in my chair! Despite some interference from my failure of a former protege, I still managed to expertly outwrestle Marv and get the win! But enough about that, we've got some major action coming our way in our first broadcast since the monumental Blaze Of Glory, don't we?
Underwood: That's right we do; three championship matches on tap here tonight all culminating in the first title defense by the new EWI world champion Virus Richards as he takes on Mikhail Androsovich. We will see a return match from Blaze of Glory as The Prophet makes his first defense of the universal title against the former champion Benjamin Childs and "Black Jack" McBain in a triple threat match. We will see the returns to action of Twisted Steel, Seta Soujiro, and Ronin, the in-ring debut of the advocate Jacob Darden, but we're kicking everything off with a tag team championship match. Despite not faring well in the King of Kings match, Lance Stanton and The Daemon Knight are still the champs coming out of Blaze of Glory, and tonight they defend once again against the team of Charles Childs and Jaden in our opening match here at Collision!

As the challengers Charles Childs and Jaden conferred in their corner awaiting their opponents, "Kashmir" struck the loudspeakers to introduce the EWI tag team champions. Lance Stanton led the way down carrying his belt proudly over his shoulder with Daemon Knight following at a distance, dragging his half of the championship down the aisle. The champs approached the ring but were stopped when a ring attendant approached Stanton and presented him with a gift box. Stanton opened the box and found inside a fire extinguisher, which he indifferently dropped to the ground before joining his tag team partner in the ring. The arrogant Stanton scoffed at his two opponents and held up two fingers, indicating that this would be the second time Childs and Jaden would fall to the Crimson Guild, but as he turned to say something to Daemon Knight Childs and Jaden decided to get the jump on their adversaries and attacked the champs before the bell. A dropkick from Childs staggered Knight back into the turnbuckle while Jaden hammered the startled Stanton and sent him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a powerslam. The ref quickly called for the bell to get things officially underway, and while he tried to get Knight and Childs to go to their respective corners Jaden worked on Stanton. A belly to back suplex drove the back of Stanton's head into the canvas, which Jaden followed quickly with a pair of running elbowdrops. The goal of the challengers was clearly to keep Stanton in the ring and avoid Daemon Knight, who was by far the biggest man in the match. Jaden applied a modified Boston crab and positioned himself so that Stanton was facing the middle of the ring, unable to reach the ropes. He was, however, able to reach back and grab Jaden's ankle and trip the man, forcing the hold to be broken. Jaden fell forward and hit face first on the middle turnbuckle, but unfortunately for Stanton Jaden fell into his own corner. He made the tag to Charles Childs who stopped Stanton before he could get to his corner with a forearm to the back of the head. A pair of chops across the chest backed Stanton into the ropes and Childs attempted an Irish whip, which was reversed with Stanton sending Childs across the ring. Stanton then lept into the air and connected with a picture perfect dropkick to the face of Childs, giving himself the opening he sorely needed. He crawled over to his corner and tagged in Daemon Knight, who rather than coming into the ring climbed to the top turnbuckle. As Childs got to his feet Knight came off the top with a flying clothesline, knocking the first challenger across the ring. Jaden rushed into the ring but was caught in a powerslam by the much larger Daemon Knight, who quickly tagged Stanton back in. Before leaving, however, Knight grabbed Childs and delivered a chokeslam. The referee grabbed Knight by the arm and tried to usher him out of the ring, but before he could get the big man out two men dressed in overalls and black leather masks emerged from the crowd and rushed to the ring.. The larger of the two men nailed Knight with a clothesline from behind, sending him over the top rope to the floor, while the other, about six inches shorter than his partner, spun Stanton around and shattered a whiskey bottle over his head! The referee began waving frantically for the bell, giving the match to the Crimson Guild via disqualification, but once his decision was made he was quickly chased away by the two intruders. The larger man then produced a roll of duct tape from his overalls and tossed it to his partner, who used it to tape Lance Stanton's hands behind his back. A group of referees came running down to the ring as Stanton, after being hit with the glass bottle, was busted open and screaming in pain, but the two masked men kept any assistance at bay. The smaller man then grabbed Stanton by the hair and held him up, allowing the big man to shoot a fireball right into Stanton's face! Stanton dropped to the canvas and rolled over on his face, kicking his face in obvious pain. By this time security rushed out to try and apprehend the two intruders, who managed to make their way back out through the crowd from where they came before they could be caught.
Kogler: Wow! That match was a train wreck if I ever saw one, but the real
story here might be what happened in the aftermath!
Underwood: The Crimson Guild are still tag team champions, but who were those two men that attacked Lance Stanton? That was one of the most deliberate, brutal assaults I have ever seen in all my time in this business. I'm not a big fan of Lance Stanton, but no one deserves to be subjected to that kind of treatment. Hopefully we can get word on his condition before we go off the air tonight. But while Stanton receives treatment backstage we have to go on with our next encounter. We still haven't heard much about the wrestling ability of Jacob Darden, the controversial attorney who recently joined the ranks of Elite Wrestling International, but I have a feeling we'll find out a lot about him tonight as he takes on the returning Seta Soujiro in singles competition.

Jacob Darden
*****
After Jacob Darden had made his entrance, "Papercut" by Linkin Park began to
play as the video screen revealed black boots walking through the backstage
area, then rising to a blinding white light as Seta Soujiro emerged from the
back. The crowd recognized the Cult prodigy instantly and a fierce chorus of
boos accompanied Soujiro to the ring. Sliding under the bottom rope, Soujiro
wasted no time going to work on Darden as the bell sounded, catching him with
a quick double leg take down and then dropping a series of fierce elbows down
across his knee several times. Soujiro pulled the attorney to his feet,
sending him hard into the corner and following in with a backflip kick.
Soujiro wasted no time in snapping on an anklelock, forcing Darden to scream
in pain as he grabbed for the lower ropes. Soujiro broke the hold and backed
off once Darden grabbed the bottom rope, crouching like an animal stalking
his prey. As Darden struggled to his feet, Soujiro took him back down with a
scissors kick to the knee, then speedily wrenched the leg up into a half
Boston crab. Soujiro didn't wait for the break this time, as he released the
hold and dragged Darden to his feet. Seta whipped Jacob Darden into the
corner, then wrapped over into a Tarantula until the referee counted to 4.
Darden was pulled up one more time, then sent into the ropes and felled by a
dropkick to the leg. Soujiro again locked in a half crab, this time in the
center of the ring, leaving Darden no choice but to tap out, as the referee
awarded Seta Soujiro the submission win in his first match back.
Underwood: An impressive victory for Seta Soujiro here tonight at Collision, and for Darden, I'd say maybe it's time to go back to the drawing board.
Kogler: A returning Cult member taking on a rookie lawyer, and although I like the style of this Darden guy, he was clearly no match for the more experienced Soujiro. A big win for Seta in his first match back! And speaking of first matches back, we've got Ronin taking on that lousy,
good-for-nothing, piece of-
Underwood: Hey, I wonder if Twisted Steel would be interested in joining us for commentary after the match. He certainly improved the product after taking over for a certain someone at Blaze of Glory.
Twisted Steel

Ronin
*****
"Bang Your Head" blasted into the arena, as the fans came alive for the return of the first EWI world champion. Moments later, Twisted Steel made his way into the arena, sporting a brand new silver cutoff robe, adorned with small purple streamers on the shoulders and "Steel" written across the back in ruby red lettering. Upon entering the ring, Steel climbed to the second
turnbuckle and spread his arms across his chest, then removed his robe and stepped down, awaiting his opponent. The arena hushed as "Resurrection" by Moist began to play, bringing with it a dimming of the lights. The entranceway erupted in a mass of white flame, and out from it strode Ronin, his white trenchcoat billowing out behind him. He walked calmly to the ring
apron and hopped onto it, springboarding over the top rope. With Kachiko nowhere in sight, Ronin shed his coat and shirt, stepping up to Steel in the middle of the ring. The two men exchanged words as the bell signaled the beginning of the match. They locked up, with the larger Steel getting the advantage with a headlock; Ronin pushed off as Steel flew into the ropes. Steel came off with a clothesline, Ronin ducked, then caught Steel with his trademark ridgehand, drawing cheers from his longtime fans. Steel was Irish whipped into the ropes, he reversed, then caught Ronin with a sidewalk slam that got a little more than a one count. Twisted Steel wrenched the arm of Ronin, dragging him to his feet, then buried a series of elbows into his back. Grabbing Ronin by the head, Steel ran and bulldogged Ronin into the
mat, then wiped some sweat off his brow and smugly flung it into the crowd, showing that his time off had no effect on his cockiness. Steel leaned back into the ropes and came off with a somersault legdrop, but Ronin astutely rolled out of the way. Ronin sprung up to his feet and pulled Steel up, then backed him into the corner with a series of sharp chops. Once there, Ronin whipped Steel into the corner and followed him in with a dragonfly splash! As
Steel staggered out of the corner, Ronin jumped to the second turnbuckle and delivered a flying wheel kick that sent Steel through the ropes to the outside. Ronin hesitated only a second before running off the opposite ropes and nailing a slingshot plancha onto the stunned Steel. Ronin then rolled Steel back into the ring and hopped to the top rope, coming off with a
stunning moonsault, but crashing right into Twisted Steel's elevated knees. Both men took a moment to recover, getting to their feet at approximately the same time. Ronin took the initiative by whipping Steel toward the turnbuckles again, but Steel reversed and followed Ronin in with a patented Crazy Train dropkick. Steel locked in a full nelson in preparation for his finisher, but
Ronin escaped at the last second with a jawbreaker. After a thrust kick to Steel's gut, Ronin ran off the ropes and came hard at Steel, who managed to catch his opponent and suplex him up and over onto and off the top rope, then back down to the canvas face-first! Twisted Steel went for the pin and scored the three, giving him the duke in a heated matchup.
Underwood: Ronin gave it all he had in there tonight, but not enough to defeat the former world champion. By the way, I was talking to Twisted Steel earlier tonight backstage and he told me that that move you just saw, the suplex off the top rope, is called the Glam Jam. Pretty impressive move from where I sit.
Kogler: Oh, is that right? Are you best buddies with Twisted Steel now, Underwood? Well that's fine and dandy, you just remember that I'm still twice the broadcast journalist you are! Steel can give his moves all the cute nicknames he wants, because the day will come when he has to deal with the Greatest Mind in Wrestling once again! And when that day comes, oh ho, you'd better believe he's going to regret the day he crossed Adam Kogler!
Underwood: At least now he doesn't have to worry about being the next Rukuss. I think you showed us all with that one just how much the Greatest Mind in Wrestling really matters. Didn't you learn your lesson at Blaze of Glory.
The look on Kogler's face gives Underwood the answer he was expecting.
Underwood: Nevermind. Speaking of Blaze of Glory, one of the matches that got rave reviews from that show was the triple threat match for the universal championship that propelled The Prophet not only to the universal championship but very nearly to the world championship as well. A lot of people said that match was a toss-up and could have gone any one of three ways, and that Prophet may have been lucky to come out on top. Well, tonight we're going to see those same three men go at it one more time. This time it's The Prophet who goes in as champion, with both Benjamin Childs and "Black Jack" McBain gunning for the gold!
