With a loud bang and a flash of blue, green, and white pyro, the EWI Collision is on the air. The arena is packed with several thousand rabid wrestling fans, waving signs and banners and cheering as loud as they can throughout the impressive opening display. As the noise dies down and the smoke begins to clear, the faces of play-by-play announcer Blake Underwood and color commentator Adam Kogler, his forehead bandaged from his match last week, who are at ringside to call the night's action, appears on the video screen and televisions across the continent.

Underwood: We are live, we are Elite Wrestling International, and we are about to see a Collision! Hello everybody I'm Blake Underwood alongside Adam Kogler for this special abbreviated edition of EWI Collision. We have two big matches signed that we will see live right here tonight. Benjamin Childs takes on the returning "Blueprint" Russell Jones in his first match since unmasking at Collision last Monday night, while Seta Soujiro and Wolverine do battle in a return match from several weeks ago.

Kogler: We've got those matches on tap, and what's this I hear about Owens getting his mug back on the tube with some so-called big announcements? Could this have anything to do with our beloved EWI World Champion?

Underwood: I'm not exactly sure, but yes, I understand that EWI Commissioner Thomas Owens will be coming to the ring tonight with some big announcements to make. I'm not entirely sure what those announcements will be, but they must be big to warrant your boss, Adam, and mine making an appearance here at Collision. It could very well have to do with Twisted Steel and the EWI title, especially after the controversial finish to the tag team match a week ago.

Kogler: That's all well and good, Underwood, but don't forget that the entire EWI is on notice! Even though Twisted Steel and I handed Diamond King and Ray Brewer a beating they'll never forget last week, we're not forgetting about all those no-good wannabe contenders that interfered in our business! Let me tell you something Woody, you do NOT want to be on Adam Kogler's Revenge List, no siree! Each and every one of them will get what's coming to them sooner or later!

Underwood: Adam Kogler's Revenge List? I'm sure that has them just shaking in their boots. One of those so-called "wannabe" contenders who interfered in the end of that match was Benjamin Childs, the only man to ever score a pinfall over our current EWI champion. Before he can start looking towards a title shot, though, he has to get through a very tough test in Criminal Nation member Russell Jones in our first match here at Collision.

Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven" began to play over the loudspeakers. The lights in the arena slowly went down. As soon as the singing began, the lights came on again, revealing Benjamin Childs in the entrance way, with long-time companion Zane and several Cult minions at his side. Childs immediately went to the ring and rolled under the bottom rope, discarding his dark, hooded robe and prepared for his match. As Jones began to make his way to ringside, Childs flipped over the top rope and met his opponent with a clothesline. He then began to stomp Jones several times before picking him up and whipping him into the steel guardrail. As Jones stumbled out, he was met with a boot to a midsection. Childs then lifted Jones into a suplex, and sent him right back down ribs-first across the guardrail. Childs then backed up and then charged, delivering a kneelift to Jones' head, standing the member of Criminal Nation up. Childs then brought him back over with a suplex onto the entrance ramp. Childs then lifted Jones and whipped him towards the ring, following quickly. Childs rolled Jones into the ring and followed soon after as the bell finally sounded to start the match. Child grabbed Jones and executed an Irish whip, sending Jones hard into the turnbuckles. Childs followed quickly with a spear in the corner followed by several knee-lifts to Jones already-weakened ribs. Childs then set Jones up on the top rope and went up after him, executing a devastating superplex back into the middle of the ring. The newest Cult member then ran off the ropes and hit a legdrop before rolling out of the ring and setting up two tables, one on top of the other. He then rolled back into the ring and grabbed Jones, who was struggling to his feet, and whipped him into the turnbuckle, followed quickly by an avalanche. He then set Jones up in a tree of woe, delivering several shoulder thrusts to Jones's ribs right after doing so. After a warning by the referre, Childs rolled to the outside of the ring, grabbed Jones's head and wrenched back. Eventually the referee stepped in once more, forcing Childs to break the hold. Childs rolled back into the ring and grabbed Jones, who was still tied up, lifted him into a sitting position, and delivered a top rope crucifix powerbomb. Childs then went for the cover, but lifted Jones's shoulders up after the two count, soliciting a great deal of admonishment from the referee. Childs, however, then lifted Jones up and signalled for his finisher, The Sacrifice. Childs executed the devastating maneuver and then made the pin for the three count and the win. Childs was not done, however. After the match, Childs signalled to Zane, who grabbed the steel steps and threw them into the ring, right in front on the stacked tables, along with a chair. Childs rammed Jones in the ribs several times before picking the man up in a powerbomb. Childs walked up the steps and then delivered an elevated powerbomb through the stacked tables!!! Childs looked down with a sadistic grin as the EMT's rushed to attend to the broken Jones.

Underwood: Childs absolutely dominated Russell Jones tonight! I can't believe the match was over so quickly. I only hope Jones hasn't suffered any serious injuries as a result of going through those tables. It certainly can't set well for you, Adam, that Childs looked as good as he did in picking up his first win here tonight.

Kogler: The Cult against Criminal Nation; how the hell am I supposed to root for anyone, Underwood? It doesn't surprise me at all that Benjamin pulled out the win, he may not have seen any action in a while, but a traveled veteran like that never forgets how to get the job done. He does make The Cult all the more dangerous, but nothing that Twisted Steel can't handle!

Underwood: I wouldn't get too overconfident if I were you, that's probably the same attitude you took the last time Steel and Childs faced off. Like it or not, Adam Kogler, The Cult is coming for your man and his championship. One man who is right at the top of the list of men deserving a title shot is Seta Soujiro, who rebounded from a short losing streak by upsetting The Regulator one week ago. Tonight Soujiro looks to make it two in a row and perhaps earn a return match with Twisted Steel if he can defeat the "Michigan Outlaw", Wolverine. This should be a tough test for Soujiro, as Wolverine did defeat the youngster from The Cult several weeks ago on this very program. We'll see how things work out this time, as we go back to the ring.

With Wolverine waiting in the ring, Seta Soujiro made his way down the aisle, fresh off his victory over The Regulator. The bell sounded and Soujiro exploded with a flurry of sharp punches, catching the larger man off guard. Before the more experienced brawler could counter, Soujiro dropped him with a stiff kick to the head, then followed up with a leg drop. With a smirk to Kogler on the outside, Soujiro locked in a single-leg Boston crab. Wolverine struggled for a moment, before using his size advantage to power out of the hold. He slowly got to his feet, but Soujiro was on him like lightning, backing him into the corner with a series of knife-edge chops, then taking him down again with a springboard bulldog. Soujiro vaulted to the top rope and came off with a picture perfect moonsault, but Wolverine kicked out after 2. Rather then pull Wolverine to his feet, Soujiro floated over and applied a cobra clutch, working on Wolverine's neck. The larger Wolverine was again able to break the hold, slowly rising to his feet and then falling backward. Wolverine rolled to the outside to shake out the cobwebs as Seta pulled himself up using the ropes. As Wolverine recovered on the outside, he failed to notice Seta climbing the turnbuckles. When he turned back toward the ring, he was met with a flying huracanrana that sent him sailing into the announcer's table! Ignoring Kogler completely, Soujiro pulled Wolverine to his feet and rolled him under the bottom rope. Soujiro followed closely behind and immediately applied the Walking Wounded for a submission victory, evening the series of matches between him and Wolverine at one victory apiece.

Kogler: Two in a row! I have to admit, I almost gave up on this kid after he took it on the chin at Gold Rush and lost a few, but he's bounced back in a big way. He keeps this up, he may be in line for one of the ... lesser EWI Titles! Tough luck for Wolverine, maybe he should find a group other than The Cult to have his matches against, because he hasn't had much luck against them lately!

Underwood: Lesser EWI titles? I'd say Soujiro is right at the top of the list deserving a shot at Twisted Steel, Adam Kogler. That man deserves a rematch after the way things ended at Gold Rush. If Steel is half the champion you claim he is, he'll put the title on the line! Perhaps Commissioner Owens will address that situation, as he is on his way to the ring with what I'm told will be several very big announcements!

Creed's "Bullets", the opening theme song of Collision, started to play as EWI Commissioner Thomas Owens made his way down to the ring. He stepped through the ropes, waved modestly to acknowledge the crowd's cheers, and politely took the microphone from the ring announcer.

Owens: Thank you very much, EWI fans. Let me just say that it's great to be back here on Collision. The last time I stood in this ring was the evening of our first event, and since then, EWI has grown by leaps and bounds. We've crowned our first world champion, our first universal champion, and our first hardcore champion, just a couple of weeks ago at Gold Rush. We've seen some of the best matches you'll find anywere. And yes, EWI continues to grow. In the past couple of weeks we've signed some of the biggest names in wrestling, and we look forward to their debuts in coming weeks. But tonight what I'd like to address is next Monday night.

Owens pauses for a moment as the fans are cheering too loudly for him to be heard over the commotion.

Owens: Next Monday, January 28, will be the biggest night in the short history of Collision. For the first time ever, all four EWI championships will be on the line!

This announcement brings the crowd to it's feet once again.

Owens: Two title matches have already been set. We will finally see the crowning of the first EWI tag team champions inside of a fifteen foot high steel cage when Harbinger and The Destroyer take on The Pinnacles of Perfection. In this match there will be a very special stipulation. There will be no escaping the cage. The only way to win is either by pinfall or submission, and for the first time ever, in order to win the match, you will have to score a fall over BOTH members of the opposing team! That's right, the match will continue until both members of one team have either been pinned or forced to submit, leaving no doubt as to who the best tag team in EWI really is.

Owens: This brings me to our next match, for the universal championship. I know that Heavy D and Lucas Coleman have had an issue ever since this company opened it's doors. Coleman and Criminal Nation have been at odds for weeks now but next Monday night it all comes to a head as Heavy D WILL defend the universal title against the number one contender Lucas Coleman. And just to ensure that we get a clean winner, I'm going to bar not only Malcolm Coleman but also ALL members of Criminal Nation from being at ringside during this match! Come hell or high water this match will be one on one, and whoever leaves victorious will truly deserve the championship.

Owens: There is also going to be a huge battle royal next Monday night. There have been all kinds of rumours swirling about how might be involved in this match, but I'm here tonight to confirm for you the early list of participants. Diamond King and his bodyguard Jamaal have both signed to take part in the battle royal. Wolverine, the Michigan Outlaw, has thrown his name into the hat. Rukuss from Criminal Nation will take part. The Cult will be represented by Benjamin Childs, Harbinger, The Destroyer, and yes, even The Cult Master himself. And folks, that is just the early list. I expect many more names to be added this week, because who wouldn't want the shot to go to Destiny and challenge the EWI world champion? And speaking of the EWI world champion Twisted Steel, both he and the hardcore champion, The Destroyer, are going to have to put their titles on the line as well next Monday night. On their behalf, I am hereby issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back who wants to become world champion or hardcore champion to step up to the plate next Monday, January 28, and try to knock one out of the park. This will be our biggest Collision to date, and I hope you'll all join us and be a part of it. Thank you, and good night!

The crowd cheered one final time as Owens set the mic down and exited the ring. The scene fades to black.
