So, we're back. While this site has been on 'hiatus' we've seen some great bands come and go and then come back again. Earlier this year the great Adequate 7 announced they were splitting, like Howards Alias, Lightyear, Five Knuckle, No Comply, King Prawn and what seems like hundreds of others, before them.

But, good music knows no such thing as death. Returning from the grave we had the Filaments, Lightyear, Mouthwash and more recently Howards Alias...so it's not been all bad. And lets not forget the hundreds of wicked up and coming bands of which the likes of King Blues and Sonic Boom Six lead the way.

Although we'd prefer to steer away from too much bitching, it's blatantly obvious that alternative music, more specifically 'emo', is popular, and as the media controls the world, british underground music is forced back into the depths of the underworld. But you know, we don't give a fuck.

So, we're going to keep supporting the musicians for writing good, decent and thought-provking music, and we hope you will too.

Now for some news:

  • This February sees Capdown tour with support from the re-formed Howards Alias across the UK. Gohere for more dates. The band release their third studio album, Wind Up Toys, on 5th February.
  • The Ruff and Ready tour starts in February also and will feature some of the best bands of the moment in the shape of King Blues, Mouthwash, Failsafe and Sonic Boom Six. As well as the shows, Sonic Boom Six will be doing some in store signings. Check here for more information.
  • Sonic Boom Six will be releasing their song "All In" on Feb 19th. You can check the video of the song on the bands website.
  • The fantastic Super Group, Suicide Bid, have released their full length album. Featuring members of Sonic Boom Six and the King Blues, it's going to be one of the best punk records of 2006. Buy it here The group have just secured a spot on this year's replacement for Wasted Festival also known as 'Rebellion'.
  • The King Blues had an amzing year in 2006 and this year looks set to be amazing too. The band are gearing up for their second album and will be touring with Bedouin Soundclash in March.
More news on the way!
