Final Fantasy is one of the greatest compilation of RPGs ever made
in the history of videogame playing. But... to tell you honestly I
never played Final Fantasy when it was still at the SNES console. In
that time when I was in elementary, there are no such things as
super duper mega charged up bit graphics in videogame consoles. All
I can say to RPG games that time is... they suck! You can tell by
looking at the previous Role Playing characters that they are low on
detail, small in size and they don't do much animated action. That's
why they don't interest me. All I'm playing that time are amusing
characters that grab power ups instead of giving potions to one
another. Characters that had life bars instead of Hit Points or HP.
And characters that move on side scrolling environment instead of
moving on world maps and such. I'm getting sick and tired playing
the same type of games with corny endings.
The
time came of the new age of video gaming and awesome videogame
consoles such as SEGA Saturn, Nintendo 64 and the first Sony
Playstation itself were released. Squaresoft developed their first
Final Fantasy series to be released in the Playstation which is
Final Fantasy VII. I said to myself, "What the heck... maybe
I'll give a shot on playing RPGs." Then I've noticed that I
have no idea of what I'm playing. All the systems are unique
including the controls. Nevertheless, it was the "basics"
that thought me on playing this god forsaken
videogame. But when I desperately played Final Fantasy VII and got
the chance to beat it, I never thought that the enjoyment on playing
Role Playing Games is the Story itself and not the graphics.
Every
passing time, game developers are making more versions of Role
Playing Games with different item, battle and mini game systems.
Then Role Playing Game developers reached online technology at it's
best ever, developing Role Playing Games that can be played online.
Such RPG is the game entitled Ragnarok online RPG. Based on Norse
myth, warriors from all over the world set off a quest to do battle
with monsters, acquire rare items and meet new people. The
Squaresoft also developed an online game of their own which is Final
Fantasy XI. It has quite the same system as Ragnarok online. Thinking
about it makes me go nuts. And playing them really consumes my
energy, wits, and not to mention my pockets.
Is
if it as I was on the game itself and I'm feeling the intensity of
what the game has to reveal. From that day forward, I started to
play the up and coming Final Fantasy series as well as other RPG
games. To me, Role Playing is more that just a game now. It is life.
The main essence of playing RPGs is to get inside with your inner
self. For such games has got something extraordinary to show than
just crummy characters who steps at their enemies and then dies
afterwards. Role Playing Games such as Final Fantasy has got some
real storylines that "some" video games haven't. Not to
mention their own theme song. As for playing Role Playing Games,
I've never been so interested on reading Fantasy based books,
meeting other people who are also obsessed with RPG, surfing the net
for game files and articles and making the Role Playing Game world
as my own. The story that I just told was a long time ago. And now,
The Elite Guardian Force has it's own website to share. Now that's a
big KUPO! to all of us.
