| Da Ottobre 1998 ad Aprile 1999,
a Luned� alterni, il Teatro Eliseo presenta una serie di 12 concerti della Eliseo Big
Band, orchestra stabile formata con i pi� specializzati musicisti di questo genere, con
la partecipazione di ospiti di grosso calibro musicale. Il repertorio della Eliseo Big Band raccoglie molti titoli fra i pi� bei classici del Jazz dagli anni trenta agli anni ottanta, da Take The A-Train a Four Brothers, da Night In Tunisia a Round About Midnight, oltre il tipico repertorio usato nelle Jam Sessions, che permetter� l' inserimento di solisti ed ospiti. I concerti presentano inoltre, a sorpresa e secondo un gusto per il divertimento che � normale in luoghi come il Village Vanguard o perfino il Carnegie Hall, alcuni ospiti la cui musica dal jazz si � spostata su altri generi. Nel corso della stagione li potremo sentire interpretare i grandi standards del jazz di oltre sessant' anni. |
October 1998 through
April 1999, every other Monday, Teatro Eliseo presents its jazz season with the Eliseo Big
Band, featuring some of the best musicians of this peculiar style, with appearances of top
names of music as starring guests. The Eliseo Big Band's book gathers many of the most beautiful jazz standards from the thirties to the eighties, from Take The 'A' Train to Four Brothers, from Night In Tunisia to 'Round Midnight, and the standard Jam Session numbers which will easily allow to play with guest soloists. Furthermore, as normally happens for the audience's pleasure in places like the Village Vanguard or Carnegie Hall, the concerts feature some "surprise guests" whose music has moved from jazz to other genres. Throughout the concerts' season we will be able to hear them performing the best titles of jazz of the last sixty years. |
