  1. Aggression of Hitler
    1. Hitler wanted “living space” for his people
    2. He disregarded everyone who was not part of, or did not speak German
  2. Formed alliances
    1. Countries were allied with the countries they participated against in WWI
    2. They thought that this would 
  3. Spanish Civil war
    1. Countries chose whose side they supported
    2. Nationalists included supporters like Hitler and Mussolini
    3. Loyalists were supported by England and the United States
  4. Treaty of Versailles Laws broken
    1. Hitler deliberately disobeyed the agreements of the Treaty of Versailles
    2. The democracies of that time underestimated the will of Hitler
  5. The Invasion of Poland
    1. Hitler invaded Poland, which was a major boundary of the Treaty of Versailles
    2. When the British declared war on Germany, he was ready to fight back

  1. Hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb dropped
  2. Hundreds of thousands of people killed
  3. Nazis destroyed
  4. Hitler defeated
